Brilliant nice and safe place to take family to.
The park and ride area is very good we visited in day light hours so can't say what it's like in winter and last bus is 8 m-f 7 on Saturday I think service is okay could be very much improved on only every 30min and you need to make sure you get on the bus going into Coventry not Warwick,but the bus drivers are nice and polite and would put you right should you need it. Two adults I think it was a day card eight pounds use the bus service stagecoach all day 11/06/22.
Very convenient to park for the memorial park. New parking charges in place. First 3 hours free, Upto 4 hours £3 Upto 5 hours £4 Over 5 hours £5 Special £1 all day rate on the park and ride buses.
Great place to park to visit the War Memorial Park. Lovely trees znd blossom at this time of year.
It's a nice enough car park. Buses could perhaps be more frequent and now only the first 3 hours are free parking so that isn't going to attract people into the city for a longer stay.
Huge, amazing park with adventure rides for kids, papas n mamas too, lots to walk and explore, bird eye watching post, big cafe at entry point, parking on site, pond, 100+year old trees etc; if you are a nature lover like me this is one of many places you must visit.
A very quick way into the city. Just be aware, on site are the WM on demand minibuses, you have to download the app to order your ride, and pay for it. This is £3 per person and I had a minibus for just my family, but this is not the park and ride. The park and ride is waiting for a bus from the bus stop which I think is meant to be £1 if you get on from the park and ride, however I got on from the city to go to the park and ride and paid £3. I think using the bus should reduce your car parking ticket which is charged after 3 hours.
It was great to have a website giving details on this but unfortunately was let down on the day when I arrived., with no information regarding its closure on the day I wanted to use it so poor information. Also no mention of costs. The links for the X17 bus however was great
Great free park. Lovely paths to go on, lovely park equipment for younger kids and a skate ramp. It's brilliant for a picnic and lots do BBQ there. They need to sort the exit/ entrance out after being there to do the park run and of an evening walking the dog not the greatest when on both times took ages to queues getting out. Could there not be an in and an out rather than everyone on both flows of traffic trying to get through one barrier?
We really enjoy our trips into Coventry the Momorial Park it a credit to the ground staff the pay & ride the bikes are great. We did experience a few problems with the bus service park & ride after waiting fore 17X fore 15 minutes at 3,o'clock Friday 7th May & waved it down only to watch it go past so we were waiting over 35 minutes in the cold . Other passageners told us it happens quite a lot you have to be right in front of the stop but if your social distancing you can only stand 2 meters from other passengers this bus showed no signs of being full Hopefully we will not be put off using this service by one bad experience
