I tried to get an appointment for my daughter for next Friday when she will be back from university for a few days. She wanted to see her doctor. Although this is seven days away there were no pre bookable appointments. I cannot understand why it is so difficult to get an appointment a week in advance. Some appointments had already been taken on that day (how?) but there was nothing for her. A very disappointing experience all round. The best she can do is to turn up at 8am on the day. She won't be home again until Christmas so let's hope there is something then. Obviously no guarantee though.

Considering the pressure the team at the Health Centre work under I am astonished at all they accomplish; heartily well done to all.

It's easy to get a telephone appointment for urgent problems, yes you have to wait for a face to face appointment, but that's pretty standard everywhere you go. Doctors are excellent.

The White Practice, at its head Dr....., is a close circle surgery. I received my medical record for the last 20 years, they mixed me up with another patient. When you are seeing this GP for a problem and it is not attended, and you keep going to be referred, you are shown the door and treated like the least of the least. This GP wants to take the role of a specialist, although he is not competent except for prescribing Paracetamol for aches and pains and creams for spots. When you put your foot down and require adequate referral, he calls you 'rude' and struck me out for DARING to complain to the NHS Ombudsman, with the reason that I live out of the KT12 area where I moved 11 years ago. We had lovely doctors before at Rodney Road Health Centre, Dr Littlewood and Dr Lewis, but they are now retired. My medical report indicated that I had brain tumours, and ten other problems with which I could not assimilate. I found out that when the nationality indicated in that report was not mine, I wrote a letter to Dr ....., , who replied that I was imagining these conditions and other points I had brought up. Then, he went digging in something which I had told him about which consisted of a white lie to my previous GP. Instead of addressing my concern about the mixed up patients' report, he pointed the finger at me in his letter and called me in other words a liar, but did not address my points of concern. The least expect would have been an apology for my notes being someone's else, no, this you will never get from this doctor. I am now registering with my neighbour's GP in Molesey, they are happy with him and the other GPs in their surgery, and mainly you are respected for what you are. I am glad I am not at the White Practice at Walton Health Centre, as I had voiced my wishes to quit anyway.
