My Daughter and I booked with Walkers Ways and we are really glad that we did. Everything was meticulously planned, including a forced change of hotel due to the Motor Cross event in Kinlochleven. The bags were collected and delivered with military precision to the next stop. We became sorry for the walkers who were carrying a full rucksack filled with all their possessions. My Daughter and I managed to do the 100 miles, up and down mountains in 6 days, relentless walking on bog and uneven stones, but it was a wonderful experience! The choice of hotels and guest houses was good and we always got a warm reception and often a warm bath! The scenery varied from visiting quaint old Scottish villages, enjoying the fantastic panoramic views, trekking through forests, negotiating muddy peat bogs, moorlands, climbing rocks around lochs - but in spite of this - we enjoyed the magnificent scenery, as you will see from the pics. We flew back from Glasgow airport, after a fantastic train journey, from Fort William. There was great camaraderie amongst our fellow foot sore walkers, The highest point was a climb of just over 1800 feet, up the devil's staircase, a very steep and relentless climb. The going down was often worse than the climb up, as you slipped on the gravel and loose stones, also very tiring on the knees!

I chose Walkers Ways for a West Highland Way walk, largely because it came up first on a Google search. Lynne booked our itinerary, shipped our bags daily to each of the Inns and B& Bs over ten days we took to walk it, rejiggered our schedule as needed and suggested smart alternatives when not possible, and most of all, saw to it that my phone, which had slipped under my bed in our second stop, was waiting for me at our fourth! All we had to do was the hike. Highly recommend using Walkers Ways if you interested in hiking any of the Scottish highland paths, with only a day pack to worry about, and the weather of course.
