I pass this shop often going back and forth to work and regularly pop in for a top up shop. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. They are often chatting to each other and appear to be happy at work, which I think is a good sign! It's usually very quiet first thing in the morning and busy at the usual peak times, eg just after work, weekends and especially Sundays. Always parking available whenever I have been there. They have a good range of nice things - not the cheapest store in the area but everything we have tried here has been really good. Excellent fish counter and butcher. Cheese counter is good, often with tastings going on. Cafe looks quite well used - I haven't tried the coffee so cannot comment on that. They have a good range of medicines, homeware and cards/stationary too. Even have the odd small Lego set available but almost always cheaper to source Lego online than in the store. Good location for a John Lewis order collection too. Would definitely recommend.

Visited this shop on our route for a short holiday in Cornwall. The man at the fish counter was such a gentleman, he recognised my son was disabled, and chatted to him about various types of fish with patience and kindness, brilliant customer service and it really helped my son after being stuck in the car for hours on end.  Whoever the gentleman is thank you Sir, what a great ambassador for Waitrose & Partners.nnThe security guard however, followed us around the shop from the moment we entered, pretending to inspect items near us wherever we went, all while clearly shadowing us around 5 feet away. This man literally followed us from aisle to aisle while we tried to do a little shopping. An utterly bizarre and sadening experience. I sincerely wish I could say that I'm not sure what prompted the security guard to follow us so closely, although sadly the reason was painfully obvious.nnThank you Mr Security Guard for making a family feel uncomfortable while choosing dinner. If you are disabled, tattooed, non-white or anything other than a stereotypical middle class person, I urge you to go to this store, to remind the security guard that everyone's money is good at Waitrose and that no paying customer should be made to feel uncomfortable.nnTo the other wonderful staff at Waitrose, thank you very much.

Delicious food in a casual setting. The fresh market fish was amazing. As was the crab Mac and cheese and mussels. Would recommend. The fresh fish was quite small though for the price c.£40 for the large

For a Waitrose, this Supermarket was very poorly presented and underwhelming.  There were many gaps, most sections untidy or not even faced up.nnNot a regular Waitrose customer, only popped in as on holiday in the area so had high expectations.nnAll the products we purchased were excellent but the experience inside the shop itself, being a Waitrose, was poor.

Good size store with outside parking. Plenty of room to move between aisles and includes small cafe and toilets.
