Visited to do a bit of shopping, had half a small trolley full. Tried to use the self service checkouts and were told quite rudely we couldn't because it was baskets only. Proceeded to wait in a queue for 20 minutes as all the tills that were open were queuing 4 or 5 people deep. Meanwhile the self service checkouts were empty with there being at least 6 free at anyone time! An absolute joke.

Called in for a drink on way to Cornwall as Waitrose cafes are usually good value. Staff were excellent but too many people were sitting talking way after finishing drinks that empty tables were at a premium. Also many people did not put trays in racks provided after eating.

Staff charming, couldn't be more helpful, especially Adam Atkins- manager. Good selection of produce, good offers. A pleasant shopping experience, if that is ever possible.

Went over on bus from Plymouth to buy a nice piece of rib of beef, and they didn't have any! It's always advertised on their website as in stock, and when I made time and effort to get some, there's none! Won't be visiting here again because you can't bank it.
