The young lady called Esma who worked today. She was so helpful, kind and genuine. She saw I was struggling with my shopping and helped me to my car amoung helping with other things. Waitrose Witney Humiliating, Distressing ExperiencenI've shopped at Waitrose Witney for years, but todays experience was a complete nightmare. After driving 20 miles for an early ship before work, I found the customer toilets were closed and was directed to Costa Coffee with my trolley left inside the store. However Costa has their toilet out of order. Desperate, I pleaded with the Customer Service for an exception to use Staff toilet, only to be met with curt, dismissive response. No empathy, no alternatives, just cold instruction to walk further up town to use public ones. Unsure if they'd also be shut most are I decided to use self checkout as queues with only 2 tills open were mounting. Unbearable, slow self checkout tills, I raced to more shops. By then I had half-wet myself after pleading with other shops. Only a Bakers showed compassion. The lack of care from Waitrose was shocking and deeply distressing. For a brand that claims to value Customers, they fail spectacularly when it matters most. AVOID WAITROSE in Witney you want basic decency for your distress.

I recently had the pleasure of interacting with two outstanding employees at Waitrose, Witney - Byron and Kate. While preparing for a big move, I was in desperate need of cardboard boxes. Despite the store closing down for the day, Byron took the time to assist me and, although unable to find any boxes that evening, ensured that I would be taken care of the next day by informing Kate. True to his word, upon my visit the following day, Kate immediately went out of her way to procure the boxes I needed.nnI’m truly touched by the dedication and the extra mile both Byron and Kate went to assist me. It’s refreshing to see such commitment and kindness, especially when they did it entirely out of goodwill. This experience underscores the importance of having employees who are genuinely willing to go beyond their call of duty. Kudos to both of them and a big thank you to Waitrose, Witney for fostering such a supportive and helpful environment. I wholeheartedly recommend this store not just for their products but for their exceptional service!
