Firstly, the first time you visit if coming by car it is a bit confusing! The public car park is first and then the waitrose car park is on left and goes into a weird one way system - there was parking each time we came, just a bit odd! The store itself was OK - we picked some bits up from fresh counter and upon opening later realising we had been given wrong thing label correct just not the contents! Not end of the world, but when paying Waitrose prices for things you'd hope to get this correct. Store was fine for what we needed.
1 No Customer Toiletsn2 The attitude of the “lad” on the “Customer Service” desk sucks. When asked “Do you have a customer toilet at all?” He gives looks right down on you and just replied “No”…. Perhaps a “No, sorry, we don’t…you could try x, y, z”nnI’ll take my custom elsewhere!
Absolutely disgusting treatment, yesterday I was singled out and stereotyped for whatbi wear, as soon as I walked into the store I was followed by a number of staff and security, this left me feeling very anxious, especially with my disabilities..nI left the store without making a purchase, being Neuro diverse I has to go.nAround the corner from the store I was stopped by a number of police officers and searched, the security guard of Waitrose had told the police lies and made a false accusation that he had seen me shoplifting.nI did not put my hands on one thing in that store and did not steal from the store.nHow dare you put me through that...nI was discriminated against for my disabilities yesterday Waitrose.
I was very disappointed with my local Waitrose today. We shop there 2 or 3 times a week. Today, we took in our plastic recycling that should be returned to supermarkets as we had seen a drop-off bin in the entrance. The recycle bin was full, so we asked where we could put it. The reply was delivered in a very rude manner as we were told it could be placed in the long stay car park as they just throw it away with regular rubbish when the bin is full. Once the lady had left, we were surprised to find another recycle bin on the opposite of the entrance. We put our recycling in there. As we went to do our shopping, we mulled over what was said and the tone it was delivered in. We decided that we no longer wanted to support Waitrose and left our shopping and went to Sainsburys.nWaitrose, this is your loss and will remain so until you take your recycling seriously and have less rude staff!
Great service today and especially Dan on the meat counter and Jane on the tills super helpful and how customer service should be !
