A great outdoors location for picnics and outdoor adventure. Short walks and a fun play are make this an ideal location for those with small children. The cafe is nice too. Great cakes at a reasonable price. The cafe also give their old coffee grounds away for your garden. This is definitely a fair weather location. Take your wellies if it rained recently!

kids absolutely loved it, haven't been here in years...although a few parts of the park have been taken away...looks like new bits may be added. the river and woods are great fun to make dens in and a bridge across. fab day ...cheap parking :) xx

Although I visited in winter, it has ample parking and is quite well.laid out. Coffee shop shut as was visitor centre despite board advertising coffee n chocolate outside (hence only 4 stars). There's a large children's play area and some good nature trails and ponds. The visitor centre seems to accommodate children's activities during school terms and holidays.

Ground was soaked and very muddy but that never bothered the kids. They had a great time and I felt secure knowing the place was very safe. Great ice-cream too.

Fantastic park with lovely wooden play area. Either join parking scheme for £25 a year or make sure you have change. No change available for parking in cafe. Visitor centre small but good. Fantasy ice woodland walks. Toilets and baby change areas. Cage has nice food and drink but expensive especially if you are going as a family. Whippy Ice creams in summer reasonably priced
