Very good Chinese take out. All the dishes we had were very tasty. We had the quarter duck to share and it was just right for a little starter for four.
I've given a 4 and not a 5 for the following reasons. We ordered our food curry & rice twice and a chicken wing extra. We were told that it would be 30-40 minutes. Drove down and got there by 45 minutes. Paid for our food and then the wait began. 3 people came into the shop and order then received their food before we did!! After 50 minutes I asked the young man serving when would our food would be ready and he said it was being packed. 1 hour and 10 minutes and I asked again where our food was and the young man curtly advised that we would have to wait like everyone else, so rude! Finally 1 hour 20 minutes after ordering our food it arrived. Would I go there again? Definitely lol! Although the cocky young man totally mis-informed us not once but twice the food was amazing. Just like Chinese food used to be. All I can recommend is a little more realistic estimates on time and don't be flippant with your customers.
We came from New Zealand to live in Much Wenlock for five weeks. Tried Wah Lai in our first week and, on first impressions, did not expect much - downmarket looking place, fluorescent lights, non-Chinese front staff, etc. Chinese takeaways in Shropshire? Well how wrong we were. The Chinese food is absolutely brilliant and I can honestly say it's amongst the best Chinese takeaways I have ever had. Furthermore the prices for such great quality are extremely reasonable. We loved it and have gone back many times during our stay. Excellent.
Food is ok but the service gives it 1 star over 40 minutes wait for food that I ordered in the shop. There we're 3 girls who ordered 1 bag of chips that took 20 minutes. This is the 3rd and last time I have ordered from them now and even when there is only 2 people in front I still have to wait 40 mins
Very tasty and good quality. Hot. Great safe social distance at pick up. What's not to like.
Have had several takeaway meals from here, and the food is always good, staff are also very friendly and helpful, would recommend you give it a try

Strange being served by Europeans in a Chinese takeaway but the food was just as I expected it to be. Absolutely massive chicken balls with my sweet and sour sauce.
