Fantastic table service, delicious drinks including sake & plum wine (my new favourite). Really tasty food in smallish portions so you get a few from different parts of the menu and share with the table. We got one from each page except sushi and we were stuffed. Would definitely go again but will need to bring about £50-100 to eat really well (for 3 people).

Loved the food. Some really imaginative cooking going on! Service was a little sluggish but having our table mixed between tasting plates and a la carte perhaps understandable. Big plates of food won't have you leaving hungry as often the case with Japanese cuisine 👍

Great Japanese food, expensive but it was a treat. Restaurant is upstairs, for me this is a bit tricky. I didn't see a lift anywhere, I probably won't visit again for this reason as I did struggle. It would have been nice to be given a hot towel at the end of the meal as some of the food was a little messy.

Excellent food, different from other Japanese restaurants. Unfortunately the service was not the best. The waiters seemed bored and not very organized.

Nice interior, but don't be fooled; this is not a true Japanese restaurant run by Japanese staff. That's not so much a problem. I had okanomiyake, which should only tale about ten minutes to prepare, but the chef burnt it so, after about 25 minutes, the manager apologised and told me another one was being prepared. That took another twenty minutes to arrive. The food was fine and quite filling, but was more like an omelette, not okanomiyake (which I know well from my Japanese partner and our visits to okanomiyake fooderies in Japan. The prices were a little steep and, because of the problems with the burnt offering, slow. Will I go back there? Probably not.
