In regards to asking for ID for films rated 15 or 18 the cinema needs a valid passport/citizens card/driving licence. Yes it is pain but it's the 'rules' of the cinema and required by law. The staff do not like to refuse entry but without a valid ID card they have no choice. Yes the food is expensive but that's a given in the cinema. Everyone should make use of the multi-buy combo deals available and bolt-ons. Frankly when customers can see a till is free they should make the initiative and come to the till and ask if they are serving. They shouldn't just stand there waiting like an idiot. Customers need to be more pro-active too! Queues are long because due to the vast amount of choices available, children cannot make up their minds. The amount of times the questions are asked to the parent and then re asked to the child is ridiculous and when the child cannot make up their mind it is very frustrating.

Terrible experience. A cinema that we regularly go to with my family. They asked my 15 and 16 years old for their ID for the first time to see a 15 movie. They were attending with both parents and auntie (us). We explained that 15 and 16 year olds do not have IDs on them but we are their parents and are telling you that they are. The called the manager down upon my request. Then after waiting for 10 minutes, they tell us the manager says she cannot come down. I asked for her name to write a complaint and the manager on the radio asked the team not give her name and she will not come down either! I find this totally unacceptable. The security guards from Oracle turned up and I explained to them that all I want is the Manager's name to write a complaint. To their surprise the manager refused to give her name to the Oracle security staff either! I find it unacceptable that they would not take the word of parents that their children are above 15. I find it more unacceptable for a manager to refuse to come and see her clients, verify the decision of staff or provide her name or the complaint procedures to deal with this. Despicable behaviour! We were not the only ones. Teens that looked over 18 to everyone including the Oracle security guards were refused entry and they had been waiting for some 30 minutes to speak to a manager who was refusing to come and meet her customers! Never seen anything like this. AVOID UNLESS YOU CARRY PASSPORTS FOR ALL YOUR CHILDREN WITH YOU! My complaint to Oracle and Vue and consumer protection will all be in the post!

Not the experience I was expecting. Booked tickets online, nice and easy. After purchasing the ridiculously priced munchies (popcorn has no taste and rubbery) we tried to go through to the screen as we were 10 mins late due to slow service but were told it was not ready. Only area to wait in is like a holding bay with exactly 4 stools available, not comfy or inviting. Eventually allowed through after another 10 mins to find they had already started the film when we're all trying to find our seats. VIP seats nice and comfy, rest of the night not worth the £50!

Go here nearly every week always had good experiences, can't comment on the food prices as always grab a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants around using vouchers and deals, much cheaper and a better night out than trying to balance popcorn and hot dogs and drinks on your lap in the dark. If everybody did this we wouldn't have to put up with inconsiderate theatre goers crunching and slurping their way through a film.
