It's definitely best to avoid this store when it's cold because, unfortunately, the owner clearly only cares about his wallet and there's NO heating in the winter. I used to go there every week, but I definitely don't want to be freezing cold while shopping anymore. The employees are incredibly nice and very helpful; I don't know what kind of person you have to be to let them work in such conditions. Next Friday will be my last visit. If the heating still not working , I'll avoid this store and will gladly call the council.
I can’t believe I need to say it but before buying anything from this shop please check expiry dates on each item. It happened few times when I got home after shopping here and realised an item I got was already expired 1-2 days. Or cake I got and was reassured it was fresh turned out to be stale and old. I thought at first that “it happens sometimes”. Unfortunately I was shopping there on Monday 22/12 for some sausages for Christmas dinner and when I wanted to cook it on Thursday I’ve noticed the expiry date on it was for 16th of December! That’s a week old sausage. Unacceptable behaviour. Be careful when shopping there.
The experience at the till was really disappointing the one with glasses but the staff at the meat counter were amazing – very kind, professional and helpful.
The owner of this store is a joke. It's been so cold in the store for another month that I don't even feel like shopping. I was there today with my daughter. It's freezing outside and even worse inside. I go there every week, but if the heating doesn't work in the store again next Friday, I'm going to another store and I won't be back. I don't want to shop with someone who treats their staff and customers like crap.
During my recent visit to your shop, I had my hands full and noticed a basket that had been left behind by another customer. I politely asked the staff member if I could use that basket to continue my shopping. Unfortunately, the lady responded quite rudely, telling me that I should return the basket after shopping — even though it wasn’t mine in the first place.I understand that staff are busy and rules are in place, but the tone and manner in which she spoke felt unnecessarily abrupt and unkind. A bit of patience or understanding would have made the situation much more pleasant.
