Is this actually a bank? No! Do I want the bank staff to be my friends? No! Is this more like a cafe? Yes! Is there any professionalism here anymore? No! People go here for tea, coffee and biscuits, when all most of us want is a bloody bank that works as a bank and runs efficiently as a bank. I don't want a social club as my bank or a Starbucks as my bank, yet here we are. They closed the Bath Street branch, Charring Cross branch, Sauchiehall Street Branch, St. Vincent Street branch, Anniesland Branch and Queen Street Branch. Literally my only options now are this Royal Exchange Square branch or the always busy Byres Road branch. It's absolutely disgraceful. No wonder they are losing customers left, right and centre. I'm only 42, but I already feel like a dinosaur in this place, as I want a bank to feel like an actual bank and not a social club.
Addendum 17 Oct 2017: Google seems to think that this is some kind of drinking establishment. IT IS NOT. Questions such as, 'Does this place offer all you can drink options?', and ' Is liquor served here?', do not apply! It is a business establishment that sets aside space for Virgin customers only to have a seat, a cuppa and a relax. The same is true for all Virgin Money Lounges. Original post: As Virgin customers we have used the various Virgin Lounges in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and, now, Glasgow. As ever we found it to be a great place for us, as pavement-pounding tourists, to take a breather from the City. A comfy seat, a great coffee, a couple of oaty biscuits and a read of the Glasgow Herald and we were ready to rubberneck in Glasgow again. This lovely Lounge, spread over two floors, is an oasis. Kudos to Virgin. Note: Please be aware that this place is not a restaurant or cafe, etc. It is a business and one can check one's bank accounts and do all things banking here. Virgin set aside space to relax and provide coffee, tea and soft drinks and newspapers to browse.

Very, very, very bad service
Ridiculous company! Their “staff” are untrained, revolting children who don't know how to handle SPECIAL NEEDS customers properly. The customer was effectively BLAMED for the incident in the branch a few weeks ago even though it was the UNMONITORED machine that caused it. Never again will I ever attend one of their branches. They are exactly like every other company named Virgin… incapable of understanding that there is more to having a disability than sight and hearing loss. I sincerely hope they are dragged kicking and screaming by the scruff of the neck into the 21st century by the law. Avoid like the plague. They are 100% not worth the hassle.
Efficient for everyday use as payment and good free MasterCard card. And really efficient the day I've lost my card to send it a new one. But unfortunately not possible yet to make an international transfer money online even for a small amount. Needed to use a paper form. 5* anyway because nothing else to say
We had an event here last week and we were very impressed. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Ideally situated for transport links, nice views, beautifully furnished. It also has a cinema screen and excellent tea, coffee facilities. Would highly recommend it.
This is a little oasis in the centre of Glasgow, open to those with Virgin Money products. Simply register at the door and you have the run of the place. Tea and coffee are free and there are a few basic biscuits available. Internet is free, but not that fast - which is surprising given Virgin's boasts about their residential products. The crowds come and go during the day and it can be hard to find seating at the peak times. The lounge itself is kept clean and tidy by an attentive staff and the atmosphere is generally excellent. Recommended.
