Great customer service!! I came in today because a while ago I lost access to my account after not using it for a few years while I lived abroad so while I was visiting the city I thought I'd finally get it done. The whole process took about 15 minutes, maybe not even that long, thank you for your help!!!
Tried to open a bank account twice last year. Completed all the documentation last year. Website says a member of staff will contact me soon and I shall not pop in the branch or contact HSBC to ask progress. Been waiting for a year and didn’t hear back anything. Decided to pop in the Glasgow branch and Scott was very helpful to set up my account. If the online service could have been the same quality as in person, it would be better.
I have lived in Germany and Canada. Among all the banks I have worked with, HSBC has the worst customer service, is unwelcoming to new clients, and is the most bureaucratic I have ever seen. In my opinion, the negative attitude of their employees reflects how poorly HSBC treats them. Employee engagement seems almost nonexistent. Please avoid it at all costs. They make you regret even stepping inside this branch.
Thank you so much to Sumana! My Mom was needing to do a large transfer and she was so so helpful and kind. She was professional and very informative and made the whole process a delight. Honestly cannot thank her enough for her help as well as her demeanor. If you read this Sumana, my Mom especially wants you to know that we appreciated everything! So so glad we went to this branch. 10/10 recommend.
I just want to personally thank Michelle and Luke at the St Enoch branch for there help. Me and my mum have been going through alot of stress due to family circumstances and would just like to thank and recognise Luke and Michelle as Michelle directed us to Luke and Luke was in contact with us throughout the time we needed him. We are now less stressed and at peace knowing that our circumstances have been sorted thanks to them both.
HSBC UK is so great! They were so helpful with setting up an international account for me. Hollie you are a gem! I had already been denied by other banks due to being an international student and HSBC was so good to me. They completed all the necessary paperwork while I was in the office and I left with an open account. SO great!
Avoid at all cost! ATM just swallowed my credit card without reason. Employee inside refused any kind of help. Unbelievable...
Located on corner of Buchanan Street and Argyle St the HSBC bank has prime location in this arty 1930s style building. Wide open space the bank offers wide range services. god customer care frendly service. Just updating the page new image of the HSBC bank taken 18/04/2018 the bank has its front door now located on Buchanan Street. with 2 cash machines and night safe on outside. Opening hours are displayed on window the image gives you better view whats going on inside bank. Just new image of the bank taken in Sept. Still free cash machine withdraws

I had an online application with HSBC which was refused for a student account, and I have been told to walk in to the branch to discuss about it and they may able to help you with my application if I provide some letters from uni, first of all I faced the rudest customer service I have ever seen in Scotland! She were setting in front of me while I had to stand, then she said we cannot do anything with refused applications! The question is why I have been send to the branch whilst she can’t do anything for me??? And I can see why the rating for this branch is 2 star! It was really ridiculous for me visiting this branch! Disappointed...
