This is a great music venue. Horrifically full and hot. But that's kind of spot on for the atmosphere you want. My wife and I saw Dehd, who are absolutely amazing live. We stood in front of some guys complaining about the Budweiser they were drinking because it was "too American". They had come to see a band from Chicago. So that was fun. Drinks are expensive..but they are everywhere so that's not exactly a negative.
A warehouse converted into a concert venue...it's not big as was expected but nonetheless the lighting and sound acoustics was surprisingly good. The bar is located adjacent to the venue and a smoking area available. The support act was Miso Extra and the main card Fabiana Palladino. It's worth a visit.Visited onWeekdayWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedYes
Awesome gig, love the venue! Especially the double height, there's a lot more air and better acoustics than other places of similar size.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
Excellent venue but too loud and the sound too distorted. Need higher quality sound installation and/or different setting.Visited onWeekday
Great venue. Watched Horace Andy here last night. The atmosphere was amazing
Came to see a show 5 months pregnant and the staff were BEYOND awesome. The whole security team made me feel so special, found me a seat and were all around so lovely. Thank you!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
This was the first time I visited Village Underground and it definitely won't be the last. I went to see Jake Shears and it honestly couldn't have been a better venue for a show. The space is intimate though not 'small' and the sound is excellent. There was a huge amount of energy on the night and the Village Underground just soaks it all up and delivers on the experience. If you're looking to see your favourite artists up close, or looking for a good club to hit then this place should be firmly on your radar.
Great gig venue with good sound and buckets of atmosphere. Drinks very pricey, but that's to be expected.Visited onWeekendWait time30–60 minReservation recommendedYes
Here for the first time for a gig and had a great night!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Went to see a band with a friend and had a lovely time. Facilities are much better than a usual concert venue and the space inside is really interesting. Only small downside is the line to get in gets quite long due to the small door.Visited onWeekdayWait time30–60 minReservation recommendedYes
