A late rating from December, but I never usually use taxis from bad experiences previously. I took a cab from chellaston to pride park just over a week before Christmas. The driver was friendly and, without prompting from me, took off excess charges for a delay in the journey that was neither my or his fault. The conversation wasn't forced at all and I felt much more comfortable than I usually do with drivers from other poor derby companies. I was planning to tip him on a return journey but plans changed so i didn't get a cab home. Certainly next time. Thanks!

Thank you Village Cars for coming out to us today in the worst weather ever -10 degrees and blizzard like conditions. You arrived in all the snow at very short notice to take my daughter to work, we can't thank you enough 😊 I will always use your company now and highly recommend your service to others 😊

Really poor taxi firm. Taxi from Aston to Thulston which is half a mile was £12. This was a 6 seater taxi but they chap refused to go on the meter which is wrong. Called the office to complain and they couldn't tell their finger from their arse. Ring Chad cars. All taxi firms have theirs problems but are least they are honest.

We have just been picked up from the airport and cannot recommend this company highly enough. Despite bad traffic which lost the driver time, he led us to a quicker route home avoiding the queues. A very good, friendly, helpful and professional service.
