Overall: Food: Kerala, South India What I liked: • Really lovely, sincere, attentive & friendly service • Nice starters • Fair price point • Good Friday night atmosphere What I didn’t like: • Masala Dosa - too small and not enough filling for the price point £6.90 • The Bombay Aloo was undercooked. • Portions were all on the small side • Wines. Good price point but not very well thought out list. The least expensive, a French Merlot was awful. The only red by the glass is £9.50 and 250ml in the wrong size glass. Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value? So, so Price Point: $$ Vegetarian options: A fair selection for a non meat eater to order comfortably.
It's very rare for me to give establishments a rating. Saying that, I left this place with the need to provide my input. I moved to London almost 2 years ago and while I felt like the Indian food scene was incredible, I never felt like there was a spot that reminded me of dosas I've had in India until this place. The chutneys accompanied with the papdum and dosas hit home. I ordered the chicken bhuna with paneer and was so satisfied. The customer service was spectacular.
Four of us just randomly discovered this restaurant while exploring Tooting Broadway. I must say that was one of the best and authentic South Indian food. As you can see on the photos we have ordered a lot! Lol Everything was delicious! Service was very good and waiters very polite and helpful. We'll definitely be going back there for more delicious food
really cosy lovely local south indian restaurant the people who work here are so welcoming and friendly the food was delicious i loved the onion salad and the popadoms especially the beetroot pickle—the prawn puri starter was delicious fresh little prawns with a really tasty bread. we had the green lamb curry which was so good i love the green sauce very delicious. my favourite was the keralan fish curry the loo is so beautiful it’s like a spa loo ! my new favourite restaurant in tooting i think! xx
At Vijay Krishna, my wife and I were enveloped in a world where culinary artistry and tradition converge. The Onion Bhaji, crisp and infused with a melody of spices, set the stage for a memorable dining experience. The Chicken Samosa, a harmonious blend of succulent chicken encased in a delicate, flaky pastry, was a dance of flavors. Each Puri, golden and puffed to perfection, was a soft cloud of delight. Every bite at Vijay Krishna is a journey through the rich tapestry of authentic South Indian cuisine, a testament to the chef's unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.
We were at the restaurant for dinner to celebrate my son’s birthday. The food was good and service was great. Also we decided to cut a small at the restaurant. The restaurant staff played the birthday song in their music system and made the time special. My son and family enjoyed it. Thank you! Good service
Everything was delicious, the staff were lovely and the vibe great. I wish I could eat more, but I’m so contentedly full I couldn’t fit another bite. Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon.Food: 5/5
Lovely meal and a great service. This restaurant is certainly good value for money. Between three of us we ordered 3 curry’s to share, 2 portions of rice, 2 portions of different breads, and a side dish… we couldn’t finish it all . Thankfully, they were kind enough to offer to box the remaining food for us to take home. I would highly recommend
This was my first visit here. We just had Masada dosa and this was very tasty and well presented. The samber was delicious and hot and the 2 chutnies were fresh and tasty. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They have a large selection of dishes on offer. The cost is reasonable.
Extremely disappointed with this place after the great reviews. Ordered chicken dansak and it was clearly just chicken plonked in a Dahl. Eventually complained as I couldn't eat it and it was replaced with a jalfrazi which was OK. They don't do nan bread so had paratha which was horrible. Friend Ordered the king fish special but as mentioned on here it was not king fish. Restaurant Extremely packed and noisy Friday evening. Wine expensive £25 upwards but the waiter could give us no guidance on it. My other friend liked her meal, but I was very disappointed. Would not go back.
