This was a 2 star experience from a quality point of view the outside of the building made me wonder if it was derelict ,large car park out front which you had to pay £3 to use. The rooms were very basic but clean mattress was ok for one night .
Breakfast in the morning was a choice of 2 cereals toast fried egg or Apple or banana tea and coffee.

Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Lots of sofa living  space in hotel to chill. Local to city and a good choice of restaurants.  In a quiet location woodland surround.

It's very historical building THE HOUSE OF LORD MAYOR OF MANCHESTER IN (1870)
Listed building grade 2 !! IN 1940/50 BECOME HOTEL !!
Budget hotel best location 
also reasonable price like to stay again..

There was no hot water for the shower and the shower curtain was moldy. I also found a bug on one of the pillows.
