Unique . Comfortable, good value but slightly dated student accommodation which adds to it's charm. Very peaceful place within a busy student are of the city. Love it!
This has that yha vibe from the 1970s all over it and I loved slightly distressed YHAs full of character in the 1970s. They have a small bar where you can get some beer and wine and a lovely lounge where you can retire to drink it . Clearly part of an ecumenical college with a quadrangle and cloisters in the centre which would probably be lovely in the summer.
I stayed here for the second time. As a student this place is excellent. Staff are very nice and are like a family. I would love to return again for a stay sometime soon. The location is right next to a bus stop with frequent bus service to airport and the city center. The courtyard is green and very natural.nOverall I am very happy with my stay and in my opinion this is better than premier inn or travellodge.
It’s like a hostel type place, which is fine. However there seemed to be multiple people partying into the early hours of the morning. Very dated rooms. Definitely not the safety area.
I booked day of and was a bit anxious about arriving and gaining access but there is a receptionist until 11p. There is a code to enter after hours but it wasn't provided with the booking information and I didn't reach anyone at reception when I called in. The building is a bit old but the rooms are arranged around a courtyard, so it's quite peaceful. I had a twin bed and the room had a sink, shower, toilet ensuite, as well as a desk with computer monitor. Great value for a one night stay, passing through Manchester! Continental breakfast was included in the morning, I believe available 7-9. Not sure what options there are if you can't walk stairs, there seemed to be a lot of steps around.nnPlenty of free parking available around the building on their property.
