Went to a conference at this venue. I could have gone there to a wedding and been happy as a guest. Could have gone as a couple for a stop off to somewhere or a family get together. Venue nice, staff nice and food nice. Would and am going again this summer

The hotel is on the University of Manchester south campus, which is a bit of a journey from the city center, though easily accessible by bus. I attended for a professional conference and was pleased with the refreshments. It was nice to be able to eat and have coffee outdoors in the lovely and spacious garden area.

Modern hotel in one of Manchester's university neighborhoods. Friendly service and great facilities. Only downside was that the room was a bit warm during the night. But then we didn't ask for a fan.

Room was nice but very small, shower leaked onto the bathroom floor turning it into a small swimming pool. Toilet had already been used/not cleaned when we arrived. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was simple but nice. Although the hotel does have some nice grounds you cannot see them when you arrive, leave or walk around the hotel so they don't really feature in the stay.

Very, very pleasant experience. All staff would greet us with hellos', good mornings and goodnights and were extremely polite, helpful and kind. The building itself is beautiful and we couldn't have asked for more. The entire building smells fantastic and is very clean "to a layman" and the hotel room we stayed in was extraordinarily clean too. Negative reviews I read speak regarding the size of the rooms and sound proofing. All I can say is; the room itself is not huge, but it is effective and I'm not sure why you would need a huge room in the first place - people shouldn't be using hotels to dance within. The room we stayed in had a very comfortable bed, a wall mounted adjustable television, a kettle with tea/coffee/complimentary biscuits and a desk with chair. It suited us to the ground, and the bathroom was great - the shower was absolutely divine and we had no complaints. As for the sound proofing, we stayed during a relatively quiet period so we cannot comment, but I can imagine it causing some issue, though I could be wrong! All in all, we really, really enjoyed our small stay and were very impressed with the room price, convenience, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff, as well as us believing the room quality was superior to the price. Thank you! We will be there when we're travelling again, and will certainly let our Swedish friends know to use you between journeys when visiting us!
