Do not use the "tap in" machines at any of the Metrolink stations. If you do and your card is supposedly "authorised" you are still at risk of being fined and the appeal process is specifically designed to screw you over. The whole thing reeks of a scam. Buy a physical ticket or use a better service that treats it's customers with respect.
Metrolink in general has always been a good service. Mainly reliable, on time, and now even better that they allow Travel for Dogs. I did expect after the 3 month trial 1st August to 31st October 2022 that it would be discontinued. However, while data is being compiled and a final decision made, dogs can continue to travel until early next year 2023. Safety, cleanliness, friendliness and consideration of other passengers seems to have been noted, but that's a personal observation. More than 3,800 people resonded to the survey, which has now closed.
A bustling station that’s a lot easier to navigate than the Piccadilly station. Station staff aren’t always visible but I’ve only had one issue in the 2yrs of using the station weekly. It’s clean but an old building, so don’t expect the ritz. Fully disability accessible with lifts that are always in use and found to the rear of the platform steps. You will need a ticket to access the train platforms which gives you a sense of safety. The metro line is accessible to all and police are usually stationed there on Friday nights and weekends. There are taxis and buses which run directly outside, as well as very limited pay and display bays also. There are a few eateries to choose from in the station as well as restaurants and shops close by, so you can grab something to eat before you journey to or from Manchester.
The station is ok, not the best but not the worst, you no longer pay for the toilets but ticket barriers are in operation. Manchester Victoria is situated and connected to Manchester MetroLink Tram service. Manchester Victoria is now connected to Manchester Piccadilly via train line, so you can now get trains to Manchester Airport and beyond without any walking or catching buses. Manchester Victoria has a filled with many remembrance tributes.
I’m from bury and i was going to Manchester for the first time on the tram, I didn’t understand how tram tickets worked and left mine on the tram and ended up having an unpleasant encounter with a lady who worked there. I explained to her my situation and she threatened to beat me up and her and call her cos workers were all pointing and laughing at me. She fined me £60 and called me ugly and made me give her my address after she treated to beat me up so now a 16 year old girl who doesn’t understand the tram is scared that a 40-50 year old women will come to her house and beat her up. I’m terrified to get the tram again. I don’t know this lady’s name but she was short, fat, brown hair with a fringe and had a prada bag probably fake if someone could find out her name for me so I can phone up it would be appreciated.

Useful station in Greater Manchester with Metrolink stop right by the main platform areas as most platforms are on ground levels, not too busy and good access to toilets and other things here.
Heaps of art it’s amazing walk around the explore every little detail in those buildings It’s a trip I would never forget had the time of my life. I highly recommend you spend few days in this beautiful city before you move on to your next destination
The station has been upgraded and is better than it was a few years ago. The layout could be better and currently some lifts aren't working.
There are not many staffed ticket booths so often have to wait to get ticket or use automated machines. You have to pay to use the toilets.
