Amazing tram stop with very frequent trams readily available. The industrial design of the station is so beautiful! And you can see the whole city skyline from there.
Busy Tram stop. Lots of eateries aside the canal. Gmex exhibition Hall and the Hulton and Midland Hotel
Decent amount of parking spaces here and admittedly located in an excellent spot if one wants to head into central Manchester and is easily accessible by trams which are fairly regular - in addition, pricing is about what you'd expect. However, the road leading up to the car park is long and incredibly narrow, only really allowing one car to drive down it at a time but, due to its curved nature, it's impossible to tell whether another car was coming. In addition, I was incorrectly fined by the company who own the car park and they have made it difficult to appeal. The pros and cons both about balance each other out.
An odd station with a great tram links across a new bridge and a beautiful tilled internal area. However it's a station of walkways, with unforgiving platforms on a winters day and lots of trains whooshing by as they by-pass this non-priority station. It's a not of Manchester's biggest, either in terms of services or square footage, but it has some lovely internal architecture and some good bars nearby.
Good tram stop and a connection point to other lines and the railway station network, good elevation view of some of the city centre as well, and good in the nice weather, can get a bit busy at times.
Beautiful new living wall and foliage between the tracks. Station was redesigned by Ian Simpson Beetham Tower architect and better access for those with mobility issues. A short cut from Windmill Street makes it easier to get to from Oxford Street. New steps avoid the Deansgate Locks crowd in the evening which is a bonus. Sometimes hard to work out what platform your tram home is going to leave from though.
This refurbished station is great; spacious and beautiful with more plants and shrubbery throughout. The shelter design is rather poor as it won't properly keep the weather out especially if there's any gust of wind.
Still looking for the vibrant nightlife at the actual tram stop. Is the poor guy waiting for his girlfriend still there?? Hard luck she's in Australia, three children, two cats, one rabbit and can't even remember him!!!!!! Such fun.
Located directly next to Deansgate on National rail which is really nice and is joined by a simple step free walkway. Other than that, standard Metrolink tram stop with ticket machines, shelter, seats and very frequent trams.
