This was a fantastic tram stop to depart from, with large platforms for the services that include ticket purchase points! The departure times are kept up to date, cleanliness had been maintained and entrance is easy from the street.
Tiny amount of seating. Has a ramp for disabled access to the platform. Gangs of kids around the entrance and car parking area don't help at all. On the plus side is very near the shopping precinct in Prestwich.
My home town so i am biased. It is a small dormitory suburb of Manchester with an increasingly bustling day and night social scene. Great place to settle and raise kids as it teems with parks and recreation and the schools are first class. Diversity of population is a major plus. We welcome all.

This is the scruffiest place I have ever seen. Even the pigeons won't land at this station. Gangs of hoodlums roaming the station,and that's just the ticket inspectors! The Warriors bypassed this station and got off at The Bronx because it was safer! I told my ex wife to be careful if she went to get the tram from Prestwich She said"that's very thoughtful of you" I said"I know.I don't want the driver seeing your face and causing a pile up!" This is a good station if you have a death wish bigger than Charles Bronson. One of the ticket machines started calling me names for no reason,it was out of order! I asked an inspector if he would punch my ticket. He said he'd rather punch my face! All in all though,a splendid and quaint little station.........if your in the SAS.
Hate this area. Always busy with congested traffic and people not obeying the traffic laws. No sufficient parking either.
Can get a bit grimy, but overall OK. Not much protection from bad weather and sometimes the machines don't work.
Sunday service in the morning which everyone trying to get to work
I find that the village is a very well ballanced amd reasonably priced compact shopping precinct. Kk :-
