It is a rare treat to see the fabulous decour of the public swimming baths. The decorative tiles and stained glass windows would not be seen in a modern public pool. It’s a unique and one of a kind with 3 massive pools and Turkish bath - they are sadly no longer in use but still definitely worthy of a visit. Very beautiful place even though it’s a bit run down due to lack of funding and hence maintenance. Free entry on weds 11am - 3pm. They also hold occasional cultural events and have a lovely cafe that serves cream tea for only £6! Free Parking available on nearby streets.
I visited Victoria baths today for the first time. It was originally for a vintage fayre however, we had time to look around and read all about it's history. A truly stunning building that wows you. A really beautiful, unique and alternative wedding venue in Manchester - Victoria Baths is incredible and one of my favourite places I've had the pleasure of working at over the last 12+ years. If, like me, you love the aesthetic of the movie Amelie then you'll be very happy here with all the green tiles and Peeky Blinders fans will also love it as parts of that were filmed here and Life On Mars which I personally loved. And who doesn't want to get married in a swimming pool?? Highly recommend if you're looking for a really special wedding venue that's a bit different and has a wonderful laid-back vibe.

Attended the'Gin to my tonic' event there. My husband remembered the building from when he attended swimming competitions there when he was young. A lovely building with pretty windows. Amazing art deco victorian public baths that you can look around. You can walk around the whole place and see the old swimming pools, changing cubicles and Turkish baths and even use the old toilets. Packed with original features, tiling and stained glass and you can get a guided tour. Be aware parking is limited, you can park in nearby streets but the area is a little rough so don't leave stuff on display in your car
