You can't help who you fall in love with male/female, everyone deserves happiness. The law was changed eventually. And he got a posthumous apology for the way a great man was persecuted.
This is a cool tribute. A little odd that he’s holding an apple considering that’s how he killed himself after being imprisoned for being gay. This country has loads to answer for the only saving grace is statues like this. Shame they couldn’t have celebrated him more when he was alive.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Incredible start to a walking tour around Manchester as well as a beautifully maintained park for enjoying the sun. Very informative and a great homage to an unsung hero.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful park, quiet in morning commute time.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It was underwhelming. The statue was dirty, had graffiti on it, which is very disrespectful, and the park seemed a little sketchy.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Football Academy again today to watch the kids play. The pitches are behind the Academy and part of the training complex. It's free to go watch them and you usually have a couple of games on of a Saturday morning. It's grassroots football in a City shirt. You can see part of The Etihad and the Academy Stadium and also the first team and women's training area
Small park just off canal street. Immediately adjacent to the canal. Very peaceful small space, considering your in the city centre. Well kept plants and grass, no graffiti or anything spoiling it. It was a rainy day so only spent a brief time there, glad I stopped by to see it. Am glad Alan was posthumously honoured for his remarkable work, however it doesn't cancel out just how horrifically he was treated by not only Society in general but also government and law. His presence is a reminder that it really wasn't that long ago. On a sunnier day, I may just come back to sit beside him and try explaining how it's changed!
Nice beautiful little garden to sit and relax. A change of pace from what is the otherwise busy city of Manchester.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
I love this bike of grass. Even the spice heads and homeless who chill here are fun and entertaining. Be careful of police all the time watching and undercover. Roman I love you. My romanian gypsy couldnt care less about your man. Its you i miss. and free kai xx
A decent tribute to an amazing human. A lovely setting, just off Canal Street in a pretty park with good pathways. Good educational write up to go with him, too.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
