Top Indian Takeaway & Dine-In Restaurant in Battersea, SW11 3JR.

Story

One of the leading Indian Takeaway Restaurants in Battersea, SW11 3JR.

We offer the varied delicious tastes and cuisines of India, from homes, wayside stalls and palaces presented in style, retaining its authentic nature. REAL Indian cuisine – which is the specialty of the Varanasi Chefs – is distinctive. It is exotic, aromatic and flavourful, relying on a subtle blend of herbs and spices, and provides an interesting contrast with Curries – the sauce based foods, Chats - the Indian street foods and with Tandoori- the clay oven foods

Amazing Indian restaurant in the heart of classic Battersea. I've had dinner in the restaurant with amazing hospitality from attentive staff, the food is beautiful and the menu is vast and exciting whilst having the classics available too. I've collected takeaway and had food delivered locally and it is just as good as sitting in. Will always recommend. 5/5
Really lovely, popped as a table for 1. Caught it before the rush, I was the only one in there. Food was excellent, staff were friendly. Would come again :
We didn't know what to expect when we walked in to this Indian place the middle of Battersea but the food turned out to be surprisingly good. Chicken wings were a good app. Chili cheese naan was something different. Definitely worth giving it a try if ur on the area.
The staff is really warm and welcoming. We decided to go by the name, and tried their "chaat" which is the European version of the Indian street taste - in other words not authentic.
I'm sorry to share about my disappointing experience at Varanasi Chefs. It's indeed frustrating when a restaurant's name doesn't align with the cuisine it offers. Based on my detailed feedback, it will be clear that my expectations for an authentic Indian meal were not met. The fact that it turned out to be a Bangladeshi restaurant with a misleading name was quite frustrating specially when I was looking for an authentic India restaurant Additionally, the lack of friendliness and attentiveness from the staff, despite the restaurant being relatively empty, only added to my disappointment. It's essential for any restaurant, especially when dealing with a group of eight guests, to provide a welcoming and attentive service. The poor quality of the dishes, including Saag Paneer, Mattar Paneer, Pilau Rice, Dal Makhni, Aloo Tikki Chaat, and overly oily Veg Samosas, further compounded my negative experience. Authenticity in Indian cuisine is crucial, and it's disappointing when a restaurant falls short in delivering that. The Pistachio Kulfi, though slightly better, couldn't compensate for the overall unsatisfactory experience. It's crucial for a restaurant to maintain consistency in the quality of both food and service. It's essential to provide honest feedback to help others make informed dining choices. Hopefully, people who are in search of authentic Indian dining experience will not be going to this restaurant.
What an unexpected delight!!! A very traditional Indian restaurant, incredibly polite staff, white tablecloths and napkins, constant attention and help with the menu. The food was top quality and better presented than any other Indian restaurant I have been to it was beautifully presented on nice plates which I think makes all the difference. For wine, starters and mains with rice we paid £30 each which is amazing! I will be back and will tell my friends. Thank you!!
Amazing service, delicious food, good value. One of the best servers I've ever encountered. Hilarious, friendly, helpful. Excellent experience all around.
Landed in hotel. Ordered by Uber from this place. Vegetarian dishes. All of the biryani, bagara baingan, saag panner were tasting sweet !!! Real letdown !Food: 2/5
Been getting takeaway from here for years now, and also had a few meals in the restaurant. They've always given us a great meal. I highly rate them and to be honest, we've not ordered any other indian takeaway since we found them back in 2020 and we probably order once a month at least! Just to add though, your order online on the website doesn't have the Traditional Dishes section on it that just-eat has! It would be nice to see this added as recently fallen in love with your Korai :D
The best curry place in SW London, simply amazing!Food: 5/5
