Grant's is a rather old fashioned place with some tastefully furnished individual rooms. The tables are clean with sparkling cutlery and glassware. The table that we were sitting at was in the window, but it was so small that there wasn't room for anything but the plate in front of you. Service was friendly and polite but the young man waiting, whilst very well spoken, didn't have the skills even to be able to clear the table properly. And now to the food. The mushroom and blue cheese soup was delicious but the three fish dish was bland, in fact it was almost impossible to distinguish any difference in taste between the fish. The whole dish, including the vegetables, seemed drastically under-seasoned. Would I go back? No.
What better place to have a family celebration. The occasion, my eightieth birthday Saturday 29th November. The food, excellent and varied, was served by polite attentive staff who responded positively to any requests. An evening thoroughly enjoyed by three generations !!.
Fabulous. Nine of us went for a 21st. The staff were wonderful, the food amazing and the wine was perfect. A terrific family run business with a relaxing atmosphere. 11/10
Very rarely when you visit a restaurant can you say that everything was perfect but the food, the atmosphere, service and price was just that. Would not hesitate to recommend or return on next visit to Beverley
We are a regular customer and we enjoy the candlelit menu!, Staff always pleasent!, relaxing surrondings!, Manager well organised!
Nice food in cosy surroundings
