Great pub with extremely good food.
We've been here a few times with the dog for an afternoon drink after walking very dog friendly place and spotted the roast pork belly to share on the menu. After ringing and booking for four people booking essential we were not disappointed. The pork was insanely good - falling to pieces and cooked to perfection. All of the trimmings included and unfortunately no room left for pudding!
Clean and pleasant. Staff friendly. Food overcooked and not a great choice. Everything was dry. New management. What a difference. 8 adults and 2 children walked in hungry and thirsty after the kitchen had closed. Within 1/2hr. All had drinks .rested. loads of chips and dips. What a great place. Very friendly. Helpful. May become a regular watering hole. Everyone was impressed. Big thumbs up
A rather unexpected delight as we were expecting another average pub meal. However, The Vane Arms goes beyond this and offers great home cooked food in a very pleasant atmosphere. The very busy Landlord help create a very enjoyable atmosphere. The food was great and I would have been happy with anything offered on the concise menu. We'll definitely be back for more.
Me and my family had a great meal here, everything was cooked perfectly. The staff were very cheerful and happy to help. This place is well worth a visit. It is very popular as you would expect so booking a table is a must.
Lovely old pub, the landlord is very welcoming and friendly. The food wasn't anything special, our slow cooked beef was pretty chewy but my partner's burger was great! Nice pub for a drink.
Went for lunch there today. Welcome was good and we were well looked after from the time we arrived. Ordered the food and did not have to wait very long. Service and presentation were excellent as was the food. Would unreservedly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Will definitely be going back.
Lovely village pub. We were made very welcome when we went for dinner with friends. Food was delicious and hot and service was excellent. When I asked if I could take a dessert with me I couldn't finish my main course, too full there was no problem. If you want a very good meal at a very welcoming village pub I would recommend here.
The Manager is the spitting image of friendly service, smiles and cheer all around Despite everything and a busy bar we felt perfectly seen too and weren't left waiting for hot wholesome food The interior is quaint and what you picture when imagining a country pub the two fire places ensure a sense of quaint comfort with the aesthetic choice of cosying up by the fireplace with one of the books they have on display, The WiFi ensured I was able to get my work done while escaping the city If you are passing through the area stopping for oee f their ciders and fried Brie is a opportunity you can't miss out on Plus I can't compliment Lucy? I think her name is enough for a welcoming conversation that left me feeling refreshed and welcome
Very friendly staff and lovely room. Evening meal was fantastic lovely atmosphere was made very welcome. It felt like we had been going there for years.
