INCONSISTENT SERVICE WITH END OF USE ADD-ONS.  Fantastic foundations for a local company with equally great initial experience, all let down by a final drastic inconsistency in service from one member of staff.  As a regular user of some larger commercial van hiring services, I was delighted to discover a local company.  I hired the Van for two whole days for a competitive price - I was especially happy with the reception and attitude of the staff whilst picking up the van from the St Ann's depot. The van was perfect for what I required and I returned to the depot as received - However, this was where the service was terrible.  I was unaware of a policy at Value, where vehicles can still be returned to the depot and parked outside the gates after the closing hours of 17:00. Due to this I rushed back to the depot and arrived at approximately 16:45. The van was checked and signed off and all was right. Until the gentleman realized the diesel gauge was ever so slightly below the quarter dial So closely that the hand hadn't even full passed the notch however, He recommended that I take the Van back out of the garage and to fill it up at the local petrol station Topping it up would have only been around £2.50 in diesel, even at this inflation rate I was totally happy to do this and to then park it outside the gates with a quarter of fuel in the tank as requested.  This is when a different member of staff who seemed rushed and as though he just wanted to walk out the doors at exactly 17:00, interrupted the conversation and prevented his colleague from handing the keys back over to me. He then followed up with the following excuse "If we let you go now, how do I know you wont just park around the corner, wait for us to leave and then just drop it outside the gates without filling it up". Therefore implying I'm an untrust-worthy person, even though I've just hired the van for two days and returned it as received. - I can only assume this was a ploy to get more money out of me.  I was not allowed to have access to the keys to fill the tank up by approx £2.50 and therefore they deducted £40 from the £50 deposit amount. taking the overall cost of the service much higher than the other competitive van hire business's within Nottingham.  An incredibly disappointing and frustrating  experience  to an otherwise good service. However, the final ploy will prevent me from returning as a customer or advocating your business to others.

This is the place to go for van hire great prices and I I honestly say some of the best customer service I have ever received from any business especially from the chap Kevin. Will happily use this company for any future needs I have. Highly recommend to everyone.

Wanted a £400 deposit when the full amount was only £628. We decided against paying such a ridiculous deposit considering the pandemic wouldn't have minded a smaller deposit but £400 is pure greed! , rang these 3 weeks before our trip to be told they've rented the vehicle out to someone else!!! They never even had the decency to tell us and ruined our children's holiday!!! We were going to tuen up on the day of collection to be told they'd rented it out to someone else! This is not the first time we've had problems with this company! Avoid at all costs! Disgusting!

Used this company since 2013 always been great however we hired a minibus for a week and upon return were welcomed with our deposit being witheld over some crumbs and a bit of extra fuel! Dont mind paying the fuel but over crumbs is pathetic!  The minibus when hired out to us was a total state, deep scratches all over various parts of the interior and in the boot! The attitude of the guy my husband returned it too was absolutely disgusting lacking basic  customer service skills. We are a absolutely disgusted  and wont be  using this company again nor recommending them to anyone else .. Valued customers lost im afraid.

RIP OFF MERCHANTS - AVOID! over charging for fuel usage because van was a a couple of litres short of when they gave it out?! Do not recommend at all.

Due to unforseen circumstances the van I originally wanted to rent was unavailable but Kev went out of his way to make sure I received a van. All the staff have been so helpful and friendly throughout contact and I couldn't find any other companies that come close to the price.

Don’t be put off by this not being one of the mainstream van rental places. The van I hired was spotless, modern and well maintained. The guys responded to my email straight away and sorted out the rental at relatively short notice.  I hired a van for a house move and didn’t have a time for completion when I collected the van, meaning I wasn’t sure I would have the van back on time. The guy completing the paperwork for me made it clear that this wouldn’t be an issue and really helped me out in a stressful situation.  I would absolutely use them again for any van rentals in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

Hired a van for a 24 hour period and really happy with the service we received. Excellent, modern, clean van. Great, friendly service as well. Will definitely be sure to use Value again the next time we need a van.
