I’ve rented 2 cars from here in the past few months was a little gutted not to get a Fiat 500 again but was given a Polo as a free upgrade, there was a slight delay picking up the second time but staff were very apologetic offered warm drinks and the option to drop it off a little later. Both cars were faultless and I would happily rent from here again in the future or recommend to friends and family.
I have been frequently renting in Europcar Nottingham during the last years, including the difficult time of the pandemics. I never had a problem. Everything works very smoothly. The staff is very efficient, always ready to help, exceptionally friendly. They make you feel home. Many thanks.
First time renting from Europcar and the entire process was a breeze - from ordering the car via the website to the final drop off. I was even upgraded to an SUV for free. There was no pushy sales on pick up and the staff at the Nottingham branch are brilliant - very polite, efficient, and helpful. I will definitely be using Europcar again and I have no problem with recommending them to others. Thanks for a great service!
The only place I use now in Nottingham. They will Deliver to your home too which is nice. Local staff friendly and everything worked like clockwork. All the cars i have had so far have been good quality. Their U.K. website can be a little temperamental when it comes to home delivery function. I had to call in to complete booking this time. Having said that - even that was straightforward and I got through immediately and it was Sorted.
I booked a full size saloon, but I got upgraded to a premium and extremely new SUV. When I collect the car, it didn't take a lot of time for processing the paper work, and the staff didn't hard-sell any add-on package. I only stay there for 20 minutes and I was driving this brand new SUV out of the center. The returning process is supper fast. It took me less than 5 minutes to finish everything. Base on my experience, I will strongly recommend Europcar Nottingham.
WARNING: They post on here please contact our customer service team and we will look into this for you. THEY DON'T. This is a lie, they are only trying to make themselves look better in bad reviews. I've never left a bad review for anyone, as a business owner I know how detrimental this can be however this was the worst experience of customer service I have ever witnessed and I feel others need to be made aware so they can make the decision to go with another car rental company. If I could give a 0 I would! Stay away from Europcar! Worst customer service I have ever experienced! EVER! The people at the Nottingham branch in particular are rude, unprofessional, and sloppy. Looking through their google reviews made me feel a little better it wasn't just me that has experienced it with these people. They forced me to sign on as an additional driver even though I was the one who made the booking as I couldn't find my drivers licence in my bag. I eventually found it after 5 minutes of searching but they had already entered my father as the main driver even though he wasn't going to be with us as that was our only option to get the car out. When I asked them to change it over 5 MINUTES LATER the girl refused to do it and charged me an extra 140 pounds!! The branch Manager did absolutely nothing about it and Europcar hasn't either. Kept saying 'you signed the contract' even though it was that or don't take the car!! This was after I called customer service when I was in the UK and the guy told me I would be refunded after the car was returned. After I returned the car and followed up they are now telling me I won't be refunded. Absolutely disgraceful customer service, no one gets back to you. Will NEVER use them again and am telling EVERYONE I know who travels regularly to NOT use them. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED.... Ps now that I have started telling people how terrible they are I am hearing more and more horror stories about Europcar - DON'T USE THEM YOU WILL BE SCREWED OVER!! Pps What kind of company doesn't accept electronic licences - get with the times!
No organisation. vehicle turned up late no phone call, vehicle was smashed to bits. Took it back and charged me £49 for about 1/8 of a tank of fuel. manager has no idea what hes doing Use the other big names
Had to use europcar through motability as my car was in the workshop, the only reason its 2 star and not 1 star was the drop off and pick up of the car was OK and the customer service from the drop off was good, it all went down hill after the car went back we had the car for about 4 weeks. I had been in to the city 4 times with my blue badge the council sent a bus lane ticket for the same lane for each time I went to the city a bus lane that leads to the disabled spaces europcar took 32.25 for each one i had rang the local eurpcar where I got it from and they said to ring customer service so I did i told them im disabled i have already sorted with the council they are sending me a letter to prove the fines was canceled euroocar told me they wouldnt take any money then proceded to take all of them and I had no spare money at the time they took my bill money and food money I was left with nothing that month i rang customer services again to which I was told to be patient they took the money in august only just finished giving me my money back in October worst possible experience.
Very disappointed with the customer service provided by Europcar Nottingham. We were running late for our 12 pick up, however the opening hours on our booking showed that the branch was open all day so we thought this would be OK. We called to let them know that we would be about an hour late to which the lady on the phone rudely said "well you can't because they are closed". As we had travelled from overseas this left us in a sticky situation as we would have been unable to get to our accommodation in Cheltenham, noting we have our baby with us. Even if they were closed this was a terrible way to speak to a customer and we were deeply disappointed by the fact the lady seemed to be taking pleasure in our misfortune. I suggest the branch listen back to the phone call to see just how rude she was and provide customer service training. We raced to the branch as fast as we could and arrived at 1:10pm which was ten minutes after their actual closing time, despite our booking saying they are open all day. The man there tried to tell us they were closed, but when we explained our situation he kindly helped us out and processed our booking so we were able to take the car. He told us this happened often with third party booking sites and that cars were sometimes even booked out for Sundays when they're not open. We understand the frustration Europcar must feel at this but is is not the customers problem and Europcar needs to sort it out with them or not allow bookings through these sites. Since returning the car we have been slugged 60 pound for late pick up, which is abhorrent given the situation and that our booking indicated they were open all day. Furthermore, other people were still dropping off cars while we were there during the 'late pick up' so clearly we were not the only ones affected by this misinformation. When I called to query the money that has been taken the person at the branch was again very unhelpful saying that it was our fault for being late. When I explained how unfair this was given the opening times noted on the booking they said it was between us and the booking site. This is terrible customer service and again totally unfair, as one would assume the information provided would be correct and how are we to blame when it isn't? We recommend hiring your car elsewhere, or if you must use Europcar book direct so you get the correct information. Dealing with Europcar has been a horrible experience, especially when compared to all the very kind and warm people we've come across everywhere else in this beautiful country.
Wonderful personnell! Friendly and helpful. Easy and quick renting the car. I needed some guidance so I called and got very good service. Very good pick-up location, 5 min walk from the Nottingham Railway Station. Returning the car was easy and smooth. No foolplay! Definitely gonna use this car rental again!
