Whilst the lower floor was sadly closed for maintenance, we still had a brilliant time! The volunteer staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and extremely good with the kids. The whole place is gorgeous and so wonderfully laid out, a real treat for the curious.
I visited the University Zoology Museum as a visitor, and it was a very good experience. The museum has many interesting animal displays, including skeletons and preserved specimens. Everything was well organised and easy to see. I especially liked learning about different species and their history. The museum was clean, educational, and enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in animals and science.
Fabulous awe-inspiring with some lovely examples of species on display. Look out for the bee humming bird on the floor with the ostrich skeleton.nThe Fin whale cafe is quality too...nA very important museum to p visit with your young family and keep the younger generation inspired.
Although the lower floor was closed, due to renovations, the museum is a treasure trove of all life on Earth, extinct or still with us. Well worth at least an hour or two. And free. Tricky to find the front door though!
Great experience, very friendly gentleman greeted us on our arrival asking if we've been there before- it was our first visit, so he kindly recommended the way of exploring the exhibition for the best possible experience. Really nice place for day out with kids.
