Cheap,even for non members like me,nice place tho to catch up with fellow veterans. Good selection of beers. My room was small,the bathroom was bigger ! Hardly noticed the noise from outside that people complain about. Staff were superb and very helpful. Only prob I had was waiting on a lift for over 7 minutes,must have been a "peak" time but there's little that could be done about that
Always efficiently run, reliable place to stay. Easy to get to from coach and train, nice South Bank walk really close by. Breakfast plentiful, double room sizes vary, we had a smaller room up on the 19th floor this time the views! but it still contained all we needed and the lifts worked continuously. VERY busy when we stayed 4thNov but still OK.
Great location just south of the river and very close to Waterloo station. The single rooms are immaculately clean and seem to have been recently updated. You need to book in advance as it does fill up especially on weekends. The breakfast is very good value,I haven't eaten in the restaurant in the evening but it does look good quality. A great asset for the forces family in the centre of London.
Great accommodation for work in London. Rooms are basic but do the job. The breakfast is fantastic and so is the drinks bar. I didn't try the restaurant but would like to the next time I stay
Another excellent stay at the Union Jack Club. Stayed on the 24th floor in a single non en-suite room which was no problem toilet and showers close by. Very convenient location across the road from Waterloo Station. As usual staff very friendly and helpful.
Lovely staff and well kept. Lots of history on the walls. The room that we were staying in was lovely and had great views of the city. For the price it's amazing. Plenty of choice for breakfast which is well priced. Will definitely be coming again.
Really good location for the price! Super clean. We stayed in the family room and felt like we had plenty of space! My only complaint was the bed was a little hard, but that’s just personal preference! Literally no complaints otherwise!
I stayed here with my sister who is ex raf. We had single rooms which were very good clean and well appointed. For a woman on her own it feels so safe and the barman are great as are the breakfast staff.
Great accomodations, restaurant is very good , breakfast is a set up for your whole day. Staff can't do enough to help you ,all in a polite informative manner. There are history lessons everywhere.
While I was serving I used the UJ club sporadically. Now that I'm a civilian the club is fundamental to my travel plans when in London and has been for the past 5 years. I recommend it thoroughly. The atmosphere is very similar to a well run seniors/officers mess. The proximity to Waterloo station means the club is very well connected and provides an easy base for travel across the capital. Some of the rooms would benefit from an updated design however, like the communal areas, all are very clean and well maintained. My main regret is that there aren't more rooms on site as availability can be limited at peak times - reflecting the excellent offer to those eligigle to stay. The on site team provides a fantastic service and are friendly and diligent. The restaurant offers a decent menu, the bar is always busy after work with sports events shown and the breakfast buffet will send you off to work very well fed should you need it. The coffee bar is a great addition too if you are on the move with less time. Thanks UJ club!
