Stayed here for 2 nights, bedroom was nice, compact but modern, clean, had all we needed. Bathroom was dated. Overall good stay but very noisy, thin walls, a lot of noise on the corridor etc. Good dinner and decent breakfast. Staff were all welcoming and friendly.
With all that is going on at the moment it was good to visit a pub that still felt like a pub and not a Hospital ward..... Already booked for new year. Boris willing.
Lovely old pub. Friendly, helpful staff. Good value for Ambleside. No parking but public pay and display is a short walk. Can be noisy staying above pub and ensuite rather dated. That is to be expected in a building of this age. Food served in evenings. Good selection at bar.
This Inn, is a welcome calm, in chaos of the town. It's just off the main road, on a narrow road. The staff followed Covid rules fully, they were very helpful, and friendly. The beers were well looked after, and reasonably priced. This Inn is somewhere, that I will definitely visit again!
Fantastic pub food and atmosphere, great service and value for money.
Food here is great, self proclaimed world famous Hungarian meatballs. Only do it if you are hungry. I went for the sausage and mash which was exactly as expected, only larger!
