Very cosy place to go for a quiet pint. Ambleside is a lovely town and the Ambleside tavern is great, friendly staff and some nice ales to boot. Highly recommended.

Friendly, good beer and good pub food, like bbq smothered chicken

It was OK. Guy on the door was well disciplined in following the current guidelines ref temperatures and contact details, one way system etc. Barmen did the job but no interaction or real interest. Food was reasonable we had wraps..total bill was £25 for 3 of us. Pleased to hear staff checking id.

Staff at Ambleside looked after us well. The food was very comforting and priced very reasonably!

Temperature taken on arrival,1 way system and shown to seats then business as usual. My friend and I had a lovely gin and cucumber tonic which was down as a £6.25 special but we caught a deal which made it half price  lads' beers full price but they didn't care!

Terrible customer service. There was a chocking smell of smoke everywhere. They got our order wrong and the didn't even apologise. I can see they are short staffed, but they could do better.
