Great location with well presented food mains about £15 with a range of real ales in a lovely clean pub if you are in the area its a must. A real gem. If its nice sit in the rear garden Parking: Large carpark
Quick stop on way to appointment and very pleased with standard if food and service. Well worth a visit.
We visited Uncle Tom's cabin many times in our two week stay in Cookham. I think it was the perfect definition of a comfy, friendly local pub. Good beers on tap, better-than-average pub food, and super friendly staff. It was super convenient at less than a 5 minute walk from our place but I'd still go back next time we're in town even if it means a longer trip!
Lovely local pub with a warm atmosphere and open fires. Serve a mean fish and chips
This used to be our 'local' when we lived in Cookham 20 years ago. Went back recently while passing through and it has the same feel - a real village pub. Has been redecorated a little, and the menu expanded and improved with correspondingly increased prices, but we had a really good meal and a decent pint!
A last minute choice but so glad we found Uncle Thomas Cabin. The food was excellent and the staff friendly. I would highly recommend the Lamb shoulder and the creme Brulee.
Slightly quirky underground restaurant and bar. Food was good and young team were enthusiastic. Minor grumble in that menu descriptions need to be more accurate - for example cauliflower was served with cheese sauce which wasn't on the menu it said served with seasonal vegetables - a member of our party does not eat cheese equally could have been dairy intolerant so couldn't eat it.
Uncle Toms Cabin is an old English pub in the beautiful village of Cookham Dean. They have great food here, it gets very busy especially at the weekends so be sure to book if you plan on eating. There is also a very nice garden where you can sit and have your lunch while enjoying the sunshine. My only criticism would be that the beer selection is not very good and could do with having at least one craft beer added to the lineup.
Tried this place for drinks and dinner recently whilst staying in Cookham. Only a small group of locals in the bar when arrived. Ordered a drink and took a look at the menu. It’s a smallish pub with seating in the front bar area, a small restaurant area to the back and then more seating in a decked area outside beyond which is a very nice garden space. I chose a sea bass fillet on a seafood risotto which was on the specials menu. My food was served promptly after ordering and the presentation was very good. Great choice of dinner, sea bass was a generous sized fillet, meaty and perfectly cooked. The risotto was also perfect, al dente texture, delicately flavoured and complimented the fish beautifully. It was absolutely delicious. This is a wonderful pub and restaurant, very good friendly service, fabulous food, great drinks and in a wonderful setting.
Great little pub, lovely atmosphere and excellent all ales
