I’ve been excited to try the place for weeks but I was absolutely let down by the poor quality pizza served. The order was served incorrectly inconvenient but fine, we all make mistakes. Worse, they refused to acknowledge their own promotion of 2 for 1 pizza. Literally baited customers in, and when we showed the sign, the staff rudely refused to honour their own promotion.
Nice place and atmosphere, prices are reasonable Food is good and service is great
Could be so much better. The Pizzas are great and the pub is really nicely laid out with good decor. The staff and service are, however, woeful. 6 of us ate there recently, one pizza turned up 10 mins before the rest, I asked for some missing salad and was just grunted at, no smiles or politeness at all. This used to be a rough old pub, and it appears that they have sorted the building out but not the staff running it. Disappointing.
Nice friendly pub. Food was good. I had an Ultimate burger however, the bacon within the burger was cooked in very old oil and tasted disgusting. Also, my pint was incredibly flat BUT, I would return no problem.
Good pub for watching the footy. Loads of screens and it's like a tardis inside - goes back a long way so always somewhere to sit. Drinks and food are all reasonably priced. Only downside was it got a little warm inside even on a mild day.
Many pubs in Maidenhead and surrounding areas have closed down or are struggling to make a business work so it's nice to see that The Bell is bucking that sad trend, certainly by the outward appearance I see; it always seems fairly busy and manages to attract a mixed crowd, managing both food and wet-led business. The convenient location at the edge of the town near to the station must certainly be beneficial. Of course success has a price; be prepared for a wait at peak times though the bar staff work their best within constraints of an awkwardly-shaped bar. All drinks well served no short measures and the food primarily being the pizzas is nicely done. Huge area for smokers, if that's your thing. Plentiful seating at rear of the pub.
Awesome pizza, service was good and beers were fairly priced. I'd go back for the pizza. Sky sports on all the big screen and a large outdoor smoking area not directly on the street.
Great place for a meet-up with friends of colleagues, the pizza was excellent and creative and real ales were available at the bar. There is a dedicated area for the pizza chefs and they have the pizzas ready in no time!
Good menu selection. Pizza's are tasty and food arrives pretty speedily in the evenings. Popular spot for people to catch up after work and have a beer.
Got kicked out for the most mediocre of things. Had one drink and a pizza, and my friend who was standing next to me accidentally knocked over a wooden partition that wasn't fixed to the floor and we where immediately told to leave. The manager insisted we were intoxicated and had leave immediately. Now if he had of asked nicely at least or listened to reason I wouldn't mind so much but it was his utterly rude and abrupt way of dealing with the situation that really annoyed me. I understand management need to show authority but this was uncalled for, so much the bouncer who escorted us out rolled his eyes in disbelief!
