5 star! Absolutely fantastic service from staff here. We kept going back and forth for a few weeks for a specific tent the Berghaus air 6XL it was completely out of stock everywhere, they told us to leave our name and number and said as soon one becomes available they would contact us and we could have it and we happened to pop in yesterday Saturday 19th and was told they had one returning to the store because it was too big for the customer and said we could have it, we went in today to collect and ended up walking away with all the rest of the stuff to go with it, ground sheet, tent carpet, windshield, and porch even got them all at a discount because we had been going back to this specific store for over 2 weeks. Highly recommended this store, staff so friendly helpful and communication is excellent. Thank you Ultimate Outdoors! We'll be back soon to purchase more camping equipment x
Great cafe, a bit expensive but free soft play for the children makes it worth it.
Great selection of outdoor gear. The staff weren't overly knowledgeable about the product though. Shame its closing down.
Some really good offers and helpful staff. Bought 2 coats for my daughter, should have been £47 but staff advised of an offer so got the 2 for £39 and a free led torch. Lovely!
Went here and spent over £200 in the cafe and buying kit. The store assistant deducted discounts using a calculator and got them wrong twice on both transactions, so we were there just over 2 hours. When we got home we found security tags on 2 of our items but the alarm didn't go off! We were then sent a parking fine as the limit is 2 hours and when I emailed Ultimate Outdoors they said they couldn't help us. It won't be a problem for shoppers much longer as the store closes in 2020. Those here also leaving negative reviews, if you're buying from Blacks, Cotswolds etc, you're still supporting Ultimate Outdoors.
They have a great selection of outdoor gear, lots of it high end stuff from top brands. The prices are far from low though. I tend to find myself browsing for stuff I can order much cheaper on the internet using my phone in-store. It's a shame because I'd really like to buy from a bricks and mortar store, but they just need to get more competitive.
Didn't have what I wanted but met the wolves defender, Willy boly on the way out so completely worth the trip to merry hell
Plenty of choice of good quality outdoor clothes, got a decent sale on, got a little cafe area with a free kids indoor play area coffee was pricier than what we would normally pay but £6 for two coffees and free use of the play area is cheap. Staff was very pleasant also
If you go at the right time of year, you're sure to find some bargains, especially camping equipment and 'last years models' of certain stock. Staff are very knowledgeable on the products sold and there is a huge range in store too. They have everything you could need for the outdoors. Mountain bikes are quite pricey and would certainly recommend shopping around for them.
Went for the soft play. It's free so can't complain much. Old food on the floor of the play area for young kids to eat is a bit nasty though. Also the car park is limited to 2 hours with cameras on the entrance. You will be fined if you go over.
