Happened on this place one evening when travelling back from our holiday, and I am so glad we did. We stayed only for food and a drink so I can't comment on the accommodation. However, the food is top notch, really tasty. The menu also has a good range of interesting food, obviously someone has put some thought into the menu. The pub itself is also a wonder, plenty of history on show. A warm and cozy place to sit and relax, a real joy take a look at the photos for more. I would suggest you book ahead if you want to eat, as I think we got lucky in terms of finding the last available table!
Went to restaurant not rooms. The atmosphere is very relaxed. I loved the original dishes. Since, I know few restaurants around, I was suprised with the extended variety of dishes. Either me, my wife and son enjoyed the quality and care put into it. We will sure repeat soon.Rooms: 5/5
We stayed here for a long weekend, it's a lovely little hotel bursting with character. The food was exceptional, it really was. I highly recommend visiting for dinner if you're in the area. We had all our meals here and can honestly say that the food was a highlight of our holiday. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this lovely little hotel
Lovely old fashioned restaurant with antique furniture which I adored. Staff were very efficient and attentive and the food was excellent. We spent a few enjoyable minutes talking to the friendly owner while we were on the way out the door. I highly recommend this place. Top class.Service: 5/5
We had the lamp chops with the mint potatoes on the Saturday night which was incredible! The atmosphere and design is everything you can dream of for a British pub; cosy, quaint and beaming with character. We came back again on the Sunday and had the fish and shepherds pie, also delightful although we preferred the lamb chops! A must try if in the Betws-y-Coed area.
Staying in a near by village , phoned last minute for a table and they managed to accommodate us on a busy easter sunday. The food was outstanding , great service from very friendly staff offering advice and recommendations for dessert. Inside the decour is lovely , traditional and cosy with the fire going. Will definitely be back.Service: 5/5
The food is absolutely amazing, friendly warm welcome and reasonably priced , we had the creamy garlic mushrooms for starters with a garlic bread, my partner had duck and I had the shepherd's pie with homemade chips , this is definitely worth a visit
We travelled up from London for the weekend and stayed 2 nights Friday & Saturday in the self catering 1 bedroom apartment. We ate in the bar/restaurant for dinner both nights, the menu is extensive and the food was 10/10. Throughout our stay Martin & his team were welcoming, always on hand and genuinely helpful with any requests. The location of Ty Gwyn was perfect for us as we did Snowdon on the Saturday morning Llanberis 20-30 mins beautiful drive away. Our apartment was clean, comfy and cosy with a log burner in the lounge. Safe to say we'll be back, and we can highly recommend!
Went for a birthday meal. Large menu and excellent, well prepared food which all of us really enjoyed. We had a slight issue with one meal that was quickly resolved with no fuss. Recommended.
Lovely lunch at the end of our walk. Cosy place with good food, service and beer. Also had some lovely companyRooms: 5/5
