No fuss pub, finally without tourists and city workers more locals and students from nearby residency. Sofas and toilets urgently need refurbishment works, same price beers in Hays Gallery have decent and restyled facilities and quality guest seats. Don't sit on the sofa unless they buy a new one
Great place for a pint, can get very busy but has a large beer garden with lots of seating and covered spaces, with picnic benches in the front too. Very dog friendly.
Nice place, had the BLT and a Guinness in the seating area upstairs. Sought it out on an 'Ashes to Ashes' location tour of London
I spent some time here with friends. Great ales and lovely service. As lads do sometimes we'd miss the bell. But a gentle reminder brought out the sympathy in our group. Hope the bar staff were able to get home in time to get the last of their Christmas preparations done.
Had a reunion in the function room. A bit tight for space with the number of us there was, especially when it came to eating the buffet lunch, but it's very pleasant, and there's an outside space for when it's warmer. Good ale although only one handpump was in use on this occasion. Nice buffet, but, like the ale, it's London prices.
Tucked away behind London Bridge Station in Melior Street. Popular with locals but can get quite busy, not much standing room if no tables available. Excellent service at the bar though with polite staff. Worth popping in, my only warning would be remember where you are, Central London = Central London prices.
I've been coming here regularly for over 10 years. An excellent independent pub. A good choice of beers and a really good garden at the back, which these days is largely covered and heated in winter. There are also plenty of tables on the road in front they're at the end of a dead end street.
Lovely pub. Fabulous staff and charity honey. Only comment was the roast was drowning in gravy and therefore was tasteless. Sunday roasts could be much better with some small improvements.
Gets very busy around 6-8, Clientèle is mainly office workers Can get rowdy at busy times. It does calm down a bit later so if you want a more peaceful rendezvous, go for later or early pm arrival. Beers were standard fayre
Friendly pub, nice outside areas. Loses a star for charging £13 for a large glass of Shiraz and another for not serving in a correct glass. It'd cost you the same across the road in the Shard.
