Me and my partner visited 24/05/22 and I had the gourmet burger, and I am happy to say its the best I've ever had. The Mrs had sirloin and rightly said its the best she's ever had with special mention for the peppercorn sauce! You won't find cheaper proper food anywhere in cornwall and will be back before the end of our holiday. The owner and waitress were very polite plus the pub pooches are so friendly. If you've booked anywhere else cancel it NOW and get a table here. From a very stuffed Tony and Carrie
Really cosy little pub , very good menu choice and good wine selection. I had Thai red seafood curry, delicious! Partner had steak and chips. Will definitely return. Reasonably priced.
I've not visited here for years but it's great to see its still a cosy pub and restaurant with great food and service. Very dog friendly too which is always a big plus for us as a family. Would recommend booking to avoid disappointment as it can get super busy at peak times. The steak is always a hit with proper chunky homestyle chips. The BBQ pulled pork Asian noodle dish was really tasty too. We'll definitely be visiting again when we are back in Cornwall.
The food here is absolutely wonderful, I highly recommend this place. Also nice for drinks with a nice cosy vibe and outdoor seating area. The staff are lovely and helpful. The waitress even showed my friend how to dismantle a shrimp as she was unsure how to eat them after ordering the seafood pasta. She really went above and beyond with her friendly service and its something I love to see when I visit places. Thanks for the great experience!
My first visit here and I look forward to going again. Excellent food - the burgers are superb I am told, my chowder was delicious and the curried crayfish open sandwich was equally enticing. All round excellent visit with friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended.
Never been before but have been meaning to go for years while down in Cornwall on holiday. Went twice November while on holiday absolutely gorgeous only went for lunch but fab definitely will be back in January
We had a great day at Camel Creek, friendly place, well maintained with rides for all the family. You can pay £4.50 per person for return ticket within 2 weeks of visit. Would recommend.
Well after reading all the posts decided to give this place a go..A nice combination of locals drinking combined with the restaurant area. So where did this place go wrong...Wet dogs everywhere shaking themselves down all over your food and to be honest its on the higher price of pub grub .Chefs special should be the best however runny chewy and not really edible. My meal however was really good. We were refunded. So if you don't mind tripping over dogs give it a go..
Fantastic food, atmosphere, and friendly staff. We ordered the baked camembert with crostini to start, seafood pasta and rump steak for main, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. We had our 18 month old daughter with us and she was looked after beautifully, with the waitress offering to send her food or with our starter. Food arrived quickly, nothing was too much trouble, service was quick and attentive. If I was being really picky, the food lacked some seasoning but we remedied this ourselves. All in all, it's so nice to find a pub with a relaxed atmosphere that serves up great quality food and has super friendly service. So glad we found this gem on our holiday.
We visited The Two Clomes last night to try their new menu. There was a great atmosphere as always. Our party of 5 all had different dishes - all were superb both in terms of presentation and quality. The sea trout with orzo pasta, Sri Lanan curry and the lamb rump deserve a special mention! Service was excellent.
