Now I would like to state that the room provided was very nice and I loved the town we were in. This all being said I have never been treated more horribly in my life. We arrived early and they complained about it. We got a little stain on their towel and they through it away and then took a 500 pound deposit on our card in case we wrecked the room. I stained your towl I didn't break the bed. When you book a hotel room your ment to feel welcome and cared for. They made us feel like we were an unwanted inconvenience. In all it makes me sad that such a lovely part of Scotland can be ruined by such horrible treatment.

Staff are rude and yelled at us for a small mark on the towel taking a £500 pound deposit. Should have known the stay would not have been pleasant when the manager was upset because we arrived an hour before our designated time (which was 4pm, so still at a reasonable hour). We were never told food was not allowed in the rooms and the only note is a small mention about four pages into local ans hotel advice and history in the guide book (though the manager swore blind it was on the first page). Staff lied and gossiped about us. Even though we paid for an extra night, couldnt stand to stay there. Never go!

This place is beautiful an elegant building lovely restaurant and the foods excellent Steve and Lisa are a lovely couple it's well worth a visit
