Turks Head Inn
"The Turks Head is the oldest pub in the heart of Penzance town. Unspoiled by contemporary design and décor, this soul-soothing, local pub offers a fresh, seasonal menu coupled with local craft beverages, all of which can be enjoyed in our shanty style, west-country setting. Our secret garden is a hidden retreat that begs for any passing explorer or local Kernow folk to enjoy. Take in the crisp sea breeze blowing in from the Quay just a stone’s throw away with a refreshing drink in hand."

Here are some of the things I love about The Turks Head: * The history: The Turks Head is the oldest pub in Penzance, and it's been serving customers for over 700 years. If you’re looking for a solid meal, really well cooked with attention to detail and professional efficient service, in a quirky atmospheric and clean environment, this is the place. On to of that, the draft beer and wines and drinks in general are superbly looked after, and all in all you will leave here feeling like you have been lucky to have found it! I didn’t take enough pictures of the food as I couldn’t help but devour it before I had the thought, but did get a snap of the black cherry Sundae!!!!
Brilliant food, lovely staff, and a terrific atmosphere. After a day of walking around in Penzance you need a hearty wholesome meal, and that's exactly what you get at the Turks Head. Buttery mashed potatoes with crispy onions and bacon is my new favourite side dish. Vegetarian options: Plenty of tasty veg/vegan options Dietary restrictions: They're happy to make adjustments to items on the menu, but there were plenty of dietary requirement conscious options
Great little pub. Loved it so much we went for lunch twice in the same week whilst on holiday in Penzance. This is what a REAL pub should be!!!Food: 5/5
I was very impressed with the vegan menu. The vegan "fish" and chips were delicious. The banana blossom that made up the fish was a generous size, well cooked and tender. I would definitely have it again. Lovely staff, nice cozy pub, ticks all the boxes
Had an absolutely amazing meal here today. Lovely decor, great food and the landlady was wonderfully friendly and helpful. I ate the mushroom bourguignon pie, which was the vegan special. Highly recommended.
Such a great evening celebrating New Years Eve at this pub! Lovely home cooked meal and drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere. We’re not local, but were made really welcome. A real mix of people, different age groups, and we took our two teenagers who are under 18. The service was fantastic, and managers and staff could not do enough for us! Brilliant traditional pub! Will visit again when we are in the area!
Had a pint and a meal here recently. Ordered the fish and chips as well as a side of winter greens. Both were absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and the place had a great atmosphere. Lovely old little pub. Will definitely come again if in the area.
Very old school traditional pub, very modern tasty food. This place has a great vegan menu served by lovely staff. The vegan fish and chips banana blossom was probably the best I’ve had. A lovely little beer garden kept us warm and cosy. Really tasty non-vegan food too.
Lots of choice on the menu, plus specials. Quirky pub with a great atmosphere, will definitely return as the food was excellent.Food: 5/5
