The bar manager was great. He gave us advice on the Mixr app + info on The general area. Nothing was to much trouble. He was very passionate about his job & we wish everywhere we visited had people like him. He made our stay all the better. Will definitely stay again. Five star.
Booked for a family get together. Food was lovely freshly made to order and everyone's meal all came out at the same time. Food extremely tasty. Lovely atmosphere. The only downside was service was a bit slow. But didn't put us off. The staff were very friendly. Really good value for money. Would highly recommend this place. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for somewhere for a nice atmospheric meal. Noted that dogs were also welcome in the bar area.
We visited twice during our stay in the area. The food was alright and we thoroughly enjoyed the vegan pasta and dessert but unfortunately we were incredibly unlucky with the service. The first time we were served by a waitress with blond shoulder length hair and glasses. I usually wouldn't call out a person like that but she was incredibly rude and made us feel actively bad for ordering. We come from a city known for its bad service but that lady was next level. We were also served by two other waitresses who were very kind and polite. When we asked for the receipt our first waitress let us wait 15 minutes despite us turning towards her and trying to get her attention several times. The restaurant wasn't busy and she was facing our direction but kept conveniently looking elsewhere until another waitress noticed us and apologised for the wait. We were very conflicted about visiting again but thought that maybe the waitress in question had just had a horrible day and that we might get another one after all but the second time was even worse. She dropped our dessert spoons on the table and made us feel so unwelcome that I felt inclined to write this review. I don't know if it was the fact that we weren't Scottish or if she's rude to all customers but I really hope no one else gets treated like this because she managed to overshadow the beautiful interior and good food.
We had a great lunch. The food was excellent and the enthusiasm and help we received from Kim was outstanding.nnWe couldn't praise the Tullie Inn enough. Well done all the staff.
Review for restautrant only. Service was good. Nice setting, food was delicious, but serving sizes way too small. For the price we paid, it's not great value. This is a pub, not fine dining, you expect slightly bigger portions. Other than that, it was nice.
