If i could give 0 stars i would!nThis is the worst hotel i've seen and been in, it’s very cold as soon as you walk into it.nThe stairs are awful and got a manky old red carpet which hasn’t been cleaned since it was put in most likely. we got to the door the key hole looks like someone has tried braking in, took us 10 minutes to get key in. The doors are horrible looking. the room stinks and is like a fridge cold a random used tissue in the corner of the room. the door lock is a screw LITERALLY! There is loads of marks everywhere on the walls and chips out the wall. THE WINDOW omg is vile full of damp and mold disgusting. you don’t feel safe there as door rattles as people go past. we didn’t even stay in room for more than 10 minutes as was freezing we both had very thick winter coats onnWe went down and asked for a refund and told them all the problems then he replied back saying his surprised as it’s the best room!! i dread to think what the worst room is like!!!nhe them told us he can’t refund as the general manager ain’t here and isn’t back in a couple of days so we can’t get a refund. what a joke what sort of business is this! it’s more of a night club than a hotel.nhotel from hell!ndeserves to be shut down.nmy horse lives in luxury compared to this room!
Would give 0 stars if I could!nFirst of all, I booked via Expedia which didn’t state the rooms were above a nightclub which is open until 3am!! Me and my partner were placed in room 7 which was right above it! Lucky we got so drunk ourselves we passed out however good luck to anyone wanting a peaceful early night!!nSecond of all, while me, my partner and family members including my 12 year old niece were sat having some food and drinks in the restaurant. There was some commotion going on with a drunken regular customer who was shouting, swearing etc. numerous times she was asked to leave by management but she didn’t and they didn’t make her leave either as they were all friends with each other! The young lad behind the bar was to focused on the commotion going on instead of listening properly to our food order that he forgot to send the chef my sisters order so when food came she was left with nothing! She didn’t get her food until we were finished eating! He also forgot to give us change for a drinks order and when we asked him for it, it was the wrong amount!nAt the time my brother made a complaint, they offered the price of our meal back which we said if they would put the funds behind the bar so we can order drinks and they still get the money/custom as we believe in giving places a second chance! They did this and we were happy.nHowever, a few days later I got a call from the manager, she offered my family and I to come back for another meal free of charge for all the hassle we had to deal with that night. I agreed and said we were planning another trip to Loch Lomond soon and would love to give this place another try and hopefully turn our thoughts around about it. The manager said she would email me the details of the offer. 3 months later and I still haven’t heard anything back! After calling a couple of times to make sure she took my email address down correctly!nThis place has ruined its chances to try and turn my thoughts around and has lost a lot of custom as my family regularly go to Loch Lomond and I have told everyone to stay away from this place to stay, to have food and even to have drinks!!nFeel like it’s not in their list of priorities to have good customer service and to keep new customers happy as it seems to be a run down place with the local regulars going in for a drink and a party!
Great value for a short stay.nStaff very friendly and helpful.nWithin easy avcess to bus and train stations 2min walk.nCouple of great pubs..I recomend Marstons inn.
It's a rough place to stay but not the absolute worst. The weekends are very loud with music and bass coming through the floor and windows, however they do warn you in advance. The bathrooms have no hand towels or floor mats and are often wet everywhere. The drain isn't great either. The area is on a train stop and there's a sink in the room. The kettle was filthy and had mold growing inside and spots. The mugs were crusty and it just seemed like they didn't actually clean the room. I wouldn't recommend it.
It was a mess from the get go, the young kid that checked us in had little to no clue what he was doing. He tried to tell us that it was un paid when we paid online and then was an unorganised mess, flipping our keys and dropping them, unsure on any decision that has to be made or information we needed.nnWe then got to the room, from first glance it looks great, neat and tidy with a recently renovated bathroom... the drain in the shower did not work, nor did the television. We could not open the door to the bathroom fully as it hit on the bed and then we found 2 fresh strawberries pinned to the wall behind the door... one of them dripping down the wall along with half eaten MNMs on the floor.nnWords can't describe the experiance we have had, I still don't believe it.
