We went earlier today. Around 4pm. Staff were friendly and speed of service great my partner said the hunters chicken was a bit dry..could have done with a bit more sauce/juice over it. I had cheesy garlic bread and chips. Was lovely. The garlic bread was so good. Really tasty.
Tasty food, really nice staff, and fast service. Will certainly be going again. Forgot to add, additional points for being dog friendly too.
I love this pub. The staff are always very welcoming and attentive. Food is simple pub food, very tasty and at good value for money. F.e, we arrived last night quite late, just as everything was being switched off in the kitchen, but chef Mike did not turn us away and we had amazing, perfectly cooked steak out and served within less than 10 minutes! I highly recommend this pub whether it's just a pint or two, or family lunch/dinner.

Booked a table the day before for a family meal for 4 on Sunday. Staff was welcoming, very helpful nothing was too much trouble. Excellent communication by all staff. We ordered 2 Roast dinners & 2 burger meals. Food was hot, well presented & delicious. We are looking forward to planning & eating another Meal at the Trigger & Pond. A brilliant pub, the only one we will visit around here. The staff are very attentive to the customers’ needs. They take time to know you by name. It’s great that you can come along for a beer or food and feel looked after. Chris, deserves a particular shout out, he’s just excellent, can’t praise him enough. Always friendly and always professional; a definite asset. They are also dog friendly! We always feel very welcome and will continue to come for many years yet. A highly recommended pub.
Really nice hot food with pleasant staff who are happy to help. Karina is a lovely manager and mucks in with everyone else on the staff. The pub is beautifully clean with a lovely atmosphere inside. I can't wait to return to try all the other stuff on the menu! Would recommend to anyone. 10/10 xx
Fantastic evening. The food and service is fantastic. We had a selection of grazers which were fantastic and all chose steaks which were cooked to perfection. We availed of the 30% offer which made our visit superb value for money The team ate great and are so welcoming I would highly recommend.
I visited with two friends. It was good value for weekday lunch - £9.99 for 2 courses, add dessert for £2 extra. We had not visited before. The food was hot and tasty. We all had tomato soup. Then I had scampi and my friends had hunter's chicken. The pub was clean, fresh-looking and had good car parking. The entrance and toilets are accessible for disabled visitors. We hope to visit again before Christmas.
The staff/servers were polite, patient, and informative. We were in a big family group and all of the food came together even though we had ordered separately via the app. Everyone was very impressed. The price of the meals was very good too.
