I'm not local & just passing through, spotted this place as I drove past, very good & friendly service, I ordered the cod bite with chips & a buttered roll, tasted lovely & at £3.70 (no really) would highly recommend.

AMAZING I was visiting a place near by and decided to pop in to the chip shop ..I am fussy with shop bought chips ..I had the cod bite and chips omg they were the best I have ever tasted and the most perfect by far ..all I can say is trefechan you are lucky to have the best on your doorstep.

The best chip shop in Merthyr in my opinion. Always have fresh chips and great quality fish. You're also guaranteed a warm welcome.
