A friendly welcome, pleasant helpful staff. Food was lovely, cooked well.. Staff well presented and considerate. Fairly priced. Unfortunately the toilets let it down, tired, needs redecoration.. thorough cleaning as " smells unpleasant, strong odour" Overall a lovely experience, would recommend, with an update on the facilities.
Great service from the staff, especially young barman Dan ‘The Man’. Always had a smile on his face and nothing was any trouble for him. Lovely food and drinks with nice atmosphere. Haven’t been there in a very long time but will definitely return soon.
The nice local pub was busy on Friday night. The food was great and the service. I and my mates were impressed with the beef pie that was made in the traditional way instead of the puffy butter pastry top. The curry sauce was perfect. I can not stop myself from dipping it with chips. The downside is to get a few more helping hands to cope with the demand for services during peak hours
Visited Sunday 30 Oct , even thought we booked a table online the young lady couldn’t find our booking and told us to go find a table …. We went specifically for the Sunday lunch menu , on ordering here is how the conversation went …. “Turkey and beef Sunday lunch please “ We are not doing Sunday lunches … Oh and we have no steaks !! “I’ll have the brunch then please “ Can’t we have no bacon “I’ll have the beef and ale pie then please “ Nope not got that either !! “ suppose you not got the bacon cheeseburger? “ I don’t know if the bacon is different!! “ “ have you the salt beef burgers ? I’ll have two of those” Yes we have them !!! “At last “ Food was excellent though !! Staff were great
an absolutely lovely pub with very nice food and plenty of drink selection, unfortunately the staff really lets the place down. They have the attitude that they would rather be anywhere else than working here. Not welcoming or friendly at all.
Burger was missing 2 of the fillings described on the menu. Onion rings were also completley left off the meal, I let them know then got handed a bowl of 3 onion rings at the bar. The meal and drinks ended up costing a small fortune for what was a VERY disappointing meal. In addition £5.50 a pint is overpriced in my opinion. Also note they refused to accept my Blue Light Card even though the pub chain advertise on their website. I would strongly suggest you avoid the TA, which used to be my local but is sadly a big let down now. There are so many better pubs nearby!
Service was very poor, with a lack of staff for the volume of customers. The Abbot ale was awful and got worse as the evening progressed, so much so that I had to change to bottled beer. The pub in general could do with a good clean!
Staff were lovely I got to be fair. The Sunday lunch wasn't the best. The vegetables were hard, the meat was not fresh in was packet rubbish. Very disappointed. Very over priced. Also they never asked us if anyone had an allergies. The 2 children my son and my cousin child both have allergies dairy and nut. They need to be asking people about allergies.
Its a nice pub staff seem friendly. I would say food quality wasn’t all that to be honest.. toilets were grim but i can see it would be a great place to take the families as theres a park in the garden
Went up with the family for food, was very nice and the price was very reasonable. Was served by a young boy named Ben who was polite and friendly. Will return again for another meal soon.
