Duncan and alison both discriminated against myself but I carnt go into details on here about that at the minute as the case is currently with solicitors to sue this travel lodge however if you are disabled & autistic then you are much better to stay clear of this hotel because of duncan and alison. They had a severe impact on my mental health and also my situation as a whole. The discrimination i faced i am currently not facing at another travelodge.nThe location was great. Its based on a retail park a short walk from town.nThe rooms were ok. Not much storage however if your only staying a few nights then its enough for this.nThere is a vending machine in reception for drinks/snacks but is expensive.nThe room when I first arrived was clean and tidy. The downside is that there is only a usb charging point near to the bed which is extremely slow charging. So if you want to use your devices when there charging you carnt you need an extention lead of at least 4m.nJasmine the lady on reception was kind caring and helpful. She really is a credit to travelodge. Nothing was to much trouble for her. She is so understanding and supportive. I stayed with my cat who loved her and from what I witnessed so did all the pets that walked through the door. I spent hours chatting to her and she really did make my situation 100x better. There were times where I could of easily gone downhill alot mentally however her support meant that this didnt happen. I am autistic and she seemed to understand autism to which many people dont. Honestly I really hope she moves onto another job which she enjoys and treats their customers alot better. Given how they treat their customers then i suspect they also treat their staff just as bad and jasmine really deserves something alot better.nShe will go far in life with her attitude care and attention she gives to this job.nnCharlie, YanLi and Ruby were all polite and helpful when I needed help.nMark was polite at first but then his attitude shifted and he became not so talkative to me not sure if he had something personal going on or notnThere was a strong smell of weed which management didnt sort out and simply just got staff to spray air freshner to mask the smell constantly.nZayne did breach gdpr majorly and could of impacted a criminal investigation if I took things to the police. This will be reported to the ico and a complaint has been raised.
Visited from North Carolina. The staff was great. The location is great. Easy walking distance to the town center. Unbelievably budget friendly with clean, spacious rooms. Thank you for giving us eight days of great hospitality.
Stayed here with my puppy yesterday, his first time in a hotel. All staff were so welcoming and helpful even gave us a welcome treat pack, room was lovely and clean and everything was easy to book. Would absolutely stay again!
Stay away me and my wife would have rather stayed in police custody on their stone beds than this hotel it was horrible smell of cannabis alcohol staff didn't seem to care about the cannabis saying it's not illegal, I'm sorry but cannabis is a class B controlled substance allowing people to smoke drugs on their property is technically saying that drugs is fine and they are promoting drugs, the room was like a sauna I have asthma anxiety depression, my wife has the same and fibromyalgia even when I turned the heating off and had window open all night it was still roasting in the morning, bed was hard as a rock, blood stain on the floor, walk in shower drain wasn't working till I cleaned it, no toilet lid, 4 sticks of coffee and 4 sachets of sugar, 4 tiny little UHT SEMI skimed milk cartons,no biscuits like other Travelodges, no hair dryer like other Travelodges have, oh wait they had a bottle opener but we cant use that to dry our hair , the cereal bundle which costs £5.99 it should be included in the price and the WiFi is rubbish we wasted £3.50 for 24 hours of WiFi and we booked two nights but refused to stay another minute, the only good bits of the room were me and my wife spending time together, the curtain pole, and the dinky Christmas tree in reception, the TV was like a tablet screen, different TV sizes in EVERY ROOM. cobwebs in window box,nnHowever the Mackie ds on green gate was absolutely to die for to the point where we got carried away and orderd a further breakfast meal eachnnIF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD BUT I CANT SO ITS A 1 STAR
This is a Travelodge; They're not about luxury or amenities, they're about a decent room at a good price.nThe staff are friendly, the rooms are good & well taken care of.
