Had a 2 night stay here over the weekend, for an event that we were attending locally. The rooms are clean, tidy and just what was needed. The lady on reception was polite, and friendly. Great location and only a 15 minute walk into the town centre. Overall, we would stay again. Ample parking outside the hotel, it is chargeable but we paid around £9 for 48 hours.
Overall a basic hotel, with basic rooms.nnStaff were absolutely lovely, and could not fault them!nnI was expecting the location to be fairly noisy, however not much noise even with the window open! A bit frustrating that you have to pay for wifi and that there are no plug sockets next to the bed.nNo air conditioning, however a standalone fan was available. Water pressure in the taps and shower was pretty much non existent, but it did the job.
Stayed for one night to see family, on arrival we were greeted by Duncan on reception, he was so friendly and chatty and had a laugh and a joke with us, the same when we left. Duncan is a great asset to the travelodge chain.nThe room was just what we needed somewhere to sleep and freshen up and is clean and will definitely use again when visiting family.nAgain Duncan was fantastic at his job and a great asset.
I recently stayed at this Travelodge and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The rooms and bathrooms were not clean, and both felt cramped and uncomfortable. The lack of a USB adapter was inconvenient, making it difficult to charge my devices. Hygiene standards were concerning, as the overall cleanliness did not meet expectations. I can confidently say this was the most unimpressive Travelodge I have ever visited.nnHowever, I must mention that the staffs were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which was one positive aspect of my stay. Their hospitality was commendable and made the experience slightly better.nnOverall, while the staff were great, the cleanliness, room size, and amenities left much to be desired
Typically a Travelodge. Hard to find much to like about this place.nRooms.nOnly one twin socket, not even close to the bed.nNo USB ports.nT.V. way too small for the room. Even with glasses on unable to read the screen.nLighting not great.nYou have to pay for parking. £4 for overnight.nLoo paper, about the same as a fag paper.nVarying rates with what days you stay.nStorage. Absolute rubbish. Just some coat hangers. Where do you put your clothes if staying over a few nights?nI did ask about the payed internet. It seems those that don't use it don't have to pay. Well I don't use the tea, coffee, milk. Do I get a refund?nExterior could be better but not the worst Travelodge I have seen.nNo wonder Travelodge is advertising so much recently.nNot surprising that AirBandB is offering better value.nIn conclusion, look elsewhere.nOn the plus side fairly close to town.
