The room I was staying in was quite nice and warm. I think the carpet could have been cleaner. The mugs given for drinks were dirty and the toilet seemed dirty as well. Apart from the issue of cleanings, It was quite a pleasant experience

Went to cBeebies land and thought rather than travel all the way home thought we'd stay in a local hotel and picked Days Inn. Rather than have a huge moan and pick at it I'll give a quick summary of why we booked out no longer than 2 hours later. 1. Toilet wasn't the cleanest (could just about live with that. 2. Could hear every word next room was saying and laughing at. (Really annoying) 3. Sofa was falling apart (wasn't going to use it but be better not being there than dragging the place down extra bit). 4. Some sort of boiler or washing machine was going crazy making loads of noise so much vibration the glass frame on the wall was vibrating. This was the final straw trying to get two kids asleep was part of the issue with the noise but it drilled through our heads and had to leave. For: gave a full refund. Didn't seem to bothered. We are putting it down to a life's lesson and we will never stay in a Days Inn again anywhere. You want budget go to Holiday Inn or Premier Inn yeah about £40 more but much nicer. Much much nicer.

11 hours of slow progress on M6 forced me to head for Stafford Sevices. Had not made a reservation but receptionist (Linda) was welcoming and helpful. Clean, comfortable and quiet.

Rooms and toilets were big but the cups in the room were quite dirty. Comfy beds
