This is a review of the restaurant part.nnReally lovely food. Super vegetables with cauliflower cheese the best I've had in a long time. The roast potatoes, however, were not as grand; a sort of fried parboiled affair.nFresh, good quality food Overall, a really lovely meal.nnAmbience is pleasant, though staff a bit tardy at table clearing.nnFractionally expensive but for a special occasion perfectly reasonable.nnThis is a popular Stafford venue and I'll be pleased to return from time to time.
This was our first visit to the Swan, but it won't be our last. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast visit for my husband's birthday. Our greeting was friendly, food excellent and service first class. We loved it and thanks to everyone. Bonus was that our dog was welcomed too with water and treats.
Wonderful large room, which was lovely and clean. Even received a handwritten note from the housekeeping team, which was a nice touch. The young lady on reception was extremely helpful given that we arrived 2 hours before our official check-in time. We were going onward to another venue for a weddingnThe only downside that was beyond the hotels control was people shouting in the street below on the way from the various pubs in the town.nIt was a very pleasant experience, though, and I would recommend it!
I have stayed there for two days for my office trip. The hotel was 250 years old and they maintained the heritage with good facilities. The atmosphere was soo good. The room was big and really clean. They have provided complimentary breakfast. They have a restaurant below, which serves food and drinks. The menu was quite good even though it was slightly expensive than the nearby restaurants. However the service was excellent.nAnother good thing about “The Swan” is its really close to the Stafford station and its in the high street. All shops are nearby.
I arranged a surprise party for a friend here yesterday, and I can't speak highly enough of the staff who were involved in the planning. I was an absolute nightmare of a customer, as I kept having to change the date and time, but the staff couldn't have been lovelier about it. The meal itself was lovely, the wait staff were wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect. Thank you for all your help. If I could make a suggestion however, put some chocolate on the desert menu! As lovely as the toffee sundae was, it didn't hit the same as chocolatety goodness would have! X
