4 AA stars, unrivalled quality and service and over 600 years of history - The Moat House Acton Trussell is one of the premier hotels in Staffordshire.
This 14th century, moated manor house boasts sumptuous bedrooms, an award-winning restaurant and function rooms perfect for any occasion.
Nestling in the heart of rural Staffordshire, the grade 2 listed manor house has grown from a village pub and restaurant into an independent, award-winning hotel and restaurant without losing any of its unique charm or personality.
The family owned hotel now offers 41 excellently appointed bedrooms, conference and banqueting facilities that can accommodate from 2 up to 200 people plus a warm, friendly welcome.

Only had a few drinks there but looking to eat next time. Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough. Kept the log burner going as we sat on the comfortable sofa in front of it. Lovely setting and beautiful features inside.

Absolutely stunning! The food was top class! The service, exceptional! The three-course Sunday lunch was delicious with great variation! However, be prepared to pay a little extra than the usual Sunday lunch price. You get what you pay for here, and that is class! Highly recommended! :)

Excellent visit for afternoon tea. Fabulous experience. The service and quality of food was very good. Would have liked a Darjeeling tea or similar. B'fast tea only non herbal tea. On a par with the many afternoon teas I have had at Brown's in London.

Popped for lunch. 3 course fixed price menu. Haddock starter, bass with curry flavours were the best dishes. Spot on service from Cloe. Highly recommended.

Me and my wife have used this beautiful place for several years now always had meals throughout the year always very good Recently we visited this year I had the turkey which was like rubber .. my wife decides on braised beef..to be honest tasted like a microwave oven... not good enough.. Michelin star restaurant...used to be... traceability..of the beef they couldn't tell me if it was even English...
